We got the Don Cake and Poor Man's Pudding for dessert and they were both incredible. Our waiter was so friendly and helpful. The hostess was great and even helped us decide what desserts to get.”

“Went out with family for bf brother’s birthday. We were seated next to the door so we were totally frozen. Asked to be moved to one of the empty tables and they refused. I had a burger with Caesar salad which was fine. My bf though had a 32$ steak, asked for medium well and got a piece of overdone boot leather… his veggies were cold too. Service was good but we were disappointed that they didn’t accommodate us when we told our waitress that we wanted to move tables.”

“Our group of 4 were super impressed with brunch! We had the rancheros served a couple of different ways, as well as the chilaquiles. The rancheros had excellent soft tortillas (not in the photos). Everything was fresh and delicious! Great hot sauce also, which is hard to come by lately. Coffee was good too. Great service and we already can’t wait to come back!”

“We visited at the recommendation of friends and as we have a gift card. The place sure is popular and I do give 5 stars to all the pastries. Interior decor is lovely. Once we sat at the table service was wonderful. My boyfriend also loved the chicken confit he ordered. However my biggest complaint is that when there were clearly a few 2-person tables available in sight for quite a while, nobody came to lead us to any table when there were 2 larger groups in front of us. We waited and waited and after eventually losing patience had to find the servers ourselves to ask if they could give us one of the empty tables and they did. This is just unimaginable to me… they have such a long line of customers waiting and not a reservation system but instead a registration book - what was the point of the registration if no one even bothered to look at it to match the group size to available tables?? While I loved my dessert, I didn’t appreciate the Egg Benedict at all and feel that it’s overrated. It was so bland and really nothing special at all. Would only come back for the bakery!”

He replies, "You'll see". He was not over speaking. The vintage diner vibe is a total vibe. Our server was impeccable without coming across as working for a 30% tip. And the food.... The potatoes were seasoned to perfection. The bacon. THE BACON.....SO THICK AND DELICIOUS. And the hollandaise sauce is so creamy and flavorful. Just. Go. What a wonderful experience and gem in the city.”

Her warmth and attentiveness made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and ensured that we had everything we needed. “It's our first time there. I ordered the tapsilog and I love the garlic rice. The beef was not bad just a little on the sweet side. The eggs were slightly off though. They were probably cooked a while ago and just reheated for serving, so the egg whites were a bit "chewy" 😅 My husband had the burger, and he said it's good.”

“Overall a good experience! We came here on the weekend, and the place was packed. We waited for maybe 20-30 minutes for a table, but no problem considering it was brunch time. First time here, the lattes were delicious!!! Food was also very very good. I would recommend this place. Service however was very slow, probably took about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. I also found a hair in my food, but the server was quick to take it back to the kitchen and have it remade. Still a good experience!”

“Headingley Grill was a pleasant surprise. Poutine was average, most likely made with Sysco gravy but had nice, stretchy cheese. Burgers were above average and Caesar salad was nicely dressed. However, the pizza was something else. It was highly recommended to us and I totally understand why. Absolutely outstanding. Will be back to try the Hawaiian pizza as well as the hamburger steak platter next time we're in this part of Manitoba. Atmosphere is also pretty good, kinda like a Canadian version of an American diner.”

The service is good because the waiters and available and responsive. I would advise you try the petinos potatoes because they are very filling and they taste great! Also, there is plenty of parking and don't worry if u see a line-up, you will be seated quickly. Overall it's a good place to eat. Sometimes, it's a bit cold in there so bring a sweater.”

“A good breakfast place. A good coffee, with some good breakfast, that is all one needs to have a good day and this place provides it you. Their prices are really genuine nothing is over inflated. Plus they have a huge selection of things from crepes, pancakes, burritos and even sandwiches. Really loved the menu includes healthy choices like fruits in things a lot of them. And also, have vegetarian options. The place is designed in a way that it's a really soothing atmosphere. Great customer service, really makes you feel like you are welcomed. I tried their French toast, pancakes with a cappuccino, loved it. Just don't see the appeal for cinnamon on some of the things. But well all in all it's really good. A must try and would love to try more things off the menu.”
