“*Update* Visited again 5th Jan 2024. Still really great service and coffee. Always really cheerful and helpful staff. My partner loved his haloumi bruschetta. I had chilli scramble. It was okay but I feel the BBQ sauce doesn’t really go with the chilli 🤷🏼‍♀️ Many other reviews disagree with me. I didn’t dislike it, but I think I’d prefer no BBQ sauce next time. *original review* Loved this place! A fabulous menu with so much to choose from. An all day breakfast and lunch menu to suit all tastes. Our meals were beautifully presented and really delicious! Friendly and fun service. Special mention of ‘Sparkling’ Sunny as he gave our morning the fun factor. Heaps of seating in and out. Also an amazing cabinet of cakes and pastries to choose from. Highly recommend this place tucked away behind the main street. Make sure you go out of your way to find it.”

“We got a really tasty meal here! The portion sizes were huge and filled with flavour. The pancakes looked amazing but wanted more sauce as they were a bit dry. The pinkie hash was sooo delicious but needs a sauce with it as it is a bit plain on its own. The bowl was massive and super tasty! The juices were refreshing as well.”

“Nice settings, with Long wait for a very expensive basic coffee. I like the settings of this place. A clean, tidy, and welcoming atmosphere. However, customer experience here wasn't the best. I waited more than 30 for someone to come and take my order. It wasn't very busy either. It is a very expensive charge for basic small coffee, that isn't even hot enough. Obviously, it's not very good. Once the order was placed , it was quick to get the coffee, but again, the customer experience is not very good with waiters. Leaving to pay you are confronted with a 1.5% weekend surcharge that is not clearly shown or displayed on the menu.”

“I stumbled across this place with my kids in tow a few days ago. We had walked all the way from little burke street past many food places just trying to find “normal food” not some wanky stacked pretentious ego food. OMG we were so happy. Bacon and eggs on toast, and the smallest one had a ham cheese toasty. At first the owner, who I found out 3 visits later was called “Sal”, got the milkshake order wrong (chocolate instead of vanilla). I told my kids not to worry chocolate was good too and they would have drank it, but Sal must have seen the disappointment in their faces and was insistent that he make the correct ones. He left the chocolate one free of charge which I drank The meal was superb and reasonably costed. Then I noticed the waitress departing. I asked him if he was closing up and he was (They close over lunch since covid). But he insisted we stay and enjoy, without rushing as they had to clean up anyway. Excellent customer service. We returned that night for dinner (bringing the wife this time) and the kids had burgers and chips that were also excellent, and my wife had the carbonara with added chicken. I had the scotch steak. All perfect. The following day, the kids insisted they wanted to go back to the nice man’s restraunt with the good food. So we are 3 meals in a row there. Its quite a long walk for the two young kids (and this aging body) but everyone is willing to make the track.”

“We frequent the Belmont Hotel regularly as it’s local for us. There are many different meals to choose from on the menu including gluten-free options. I’ve tried a variety of plates and they’ve all been really delicious, some of my favourites are the Pork Belly, Salmon, Chicken Schnitzel, Thai Beef Salad and the Gnocchi. Once you’ve ordered, the food doesn’t take too long to come out, even when it’s busy, so no long waits. Prices are also reasonable. Staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient, although a couple of the young ones need to have more eye contact with customers and the room as it can sometimes be troublesome getting their attention, otherwise all good. Atmosphere is very enjoyable and relaxing, but can be extremely loud when busy, making it hard to hear each other talk. All up great place and we will continue to eat there. PS: love the velvet chairs, so comfy. Unfortunately they don’t open on Mondays anymore, Monday was Parmi night.”

“It's a very nice cafe with an awesome outdoor setting. We visited the place on a cold day, so we had to sit inside. It was warm, cozy, and very pretty. There were a few fireplaces inside, some fake and some real. The food and coffee were pretty good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place has noce gardens around the house. Nearby, there is ground with lots of Kangaroos roaming freely. Overall, it's a nice place for great weekend outings.”

“Very good restaurant in the heart of Aintree. I visited for a work lunch, so was able to get feedback from my colleagues to write my review. Food: by all accounts the food was excellent. Reasonable portions for the price. You're mainly paying for the quality of food. Bit more on the expensive side, but is worth the money. Service: very waiters and food came out at a reasonable time frame. Atmosphere: felt very spacious, and layout was a L shape. Felt it was good layout and did not encourage foot traffic jams. In summer apparently the large windows doors can be opened up for any more air. Overall, fantastic restaurant. Constructive feedback: I felt the toilets could smell better. Given how nice the rest of the restaurant was, I think always keeping the toilets smelling nicely scented is a must. Also, for some reason when we visited it was freezing. Supposedly the heater was turned on, but we didn't feel it for the 1.5 hours we were there.”
