“I think I come Here again. Its always nice to see a busy Pub and Lovely Staff. When Customers have their main and then a dessert after you know its Good. Fully Enjoy my Roast Beef and really nice portion which fills u up. Though I think needed a bit more gravy though. You always have room for your dessert and it was well worth it. Really nice portion white chocolate drizzle Cheesecake was fluffy and light like meringue Texture. Was Very impressed how it tasted so good. That was decent portion you don't get many pubs to do a good portion cheesecake. Flavour was great. The presentation is great as well and I could they have really good portion on other dishes as well. We were there good 1h 30 minutes. Plus there a river close by. Thank you for a really nice meal out.”

“Exceeded expectations! I’m so sick of being disappointed by restaurants, many of which seem to be steadily reducing quality - but Forté was a delight; perfect poached eggs, generous portions (especially the maple syrup! Nice!) and a reassuringly small but imaginative menu. Recommend the sweetcorn fritters. If you’re a fan of the other breakfast place in Winchester then do give this one a try, you might be surprised. We’ll definitely be back.”

“A lovely place to stop for a tea or coffee and something to eat - I had a freshly baked fruit scone which was very nice. Right near the river Test, and with lovely grounds and terrace. The staff are friendly, and service quite fast. Very relaxing, especially if you've been out for a country walk in the area. A Hampshire oasis.”
