Since it was about 10:00 on a weekday, we were able to walk right in and be seated, but I can imagine this place is wildly popular on weekends and holidays. My much-needed coffee was excellent. We split the El Guero Omelette and the Strawberry French Toast, and both were delicious! I also loved the sunny vibe and the light filled interior, though the outdoor seating would be lovely on a pretty day. I’ll definitely be back!”

As odd as it sounds, the French toast was very, very sweet; I couldn't even use syrup with it. They have fresh pastries, and made to order warm sandwiches. Like actual filling sandwiches NOT LIKE 1 egg sandwiches like starbucks! Their coffee is great too! Bathrooms are clean Music is not too loud Place is super cozy And you get to respond to your emails while sipping a good cup of coffee! “Came here on a Sunday with friends for dinner and the service and food were both impeccable. Each dish had such unique flavors. Plates are designed to be shared and we had 6-7 dishes for a group of 5. Some highlights were the chicken katsu and the pork belly. The only dish we didn’t love was the octopus - it tasted a little bland and wasn’t very tender. The kitchen also sent out a couple complimentary dishes which was a nice touch on top of a great experience. All in all we had a great time and I can’t wait to come back!”

Moved here from the northeast where Dominican food was part of my regular rotation so finding a good place in Chicago has been perfect. When I’m a bit homesick I pop in for Dominican breakfast of mangu, salami, fried cheese, and eggs topped with pickled onions and it always hits the spot. When I’m feeling fancy I order an oxtail plate and it’s delicious. It’s small and cozy, music playing while you eat. Service is nice and if you don’t know Spanish, it’s easy enough to make it work.”

Adrian was our waiter and anticipated anything we would need, but never made us feel rushed in spite of that we were visiting and weren't getting our orders figured out quickly. The food was amazing. The Robey Benedict was so good. The drinks were great too. We loved it and I'm sure we will go here whenever we are in town to meet up with friends. It is worth the price when it is a special occasion.”
