“My very expensive watch that I got at Greenfield Village 8 years ago needed a new battery. I have to have a jewelry store do it since they need special equipment. It is made out of recycled copper and stainless steel from a old factory in New York. They only charged $16 which is the normal price in the past. Since they are having their "famous" good fortune sale where you choose a fortune cookie and see what the discount is. Anywhere between 20 to 50% off. You DON'T get to do this first, you have to be buying something. This place is full of too expensive jewelry. After hearing the radio ads for years, I thought they may have stuff for us normal working stiffs. I finally found small pearl earrings for $85. My cookie had 27% off so brought it down to $60 something. Glad I finally stopped in but when I need good earrings, I will stick to the jewelry store in Monroe that understands most of us don't have money to burn. At least they have lots of sales people.”
