St. Ignatius Church

Closed until 08:30 AM

650 Parker Ave, San Francisco, CA 94118, United States

“i recently visited the church for a graduation ceremony in December 2023 and it was spectacular from the beginning of the gathering to the actual building it was held in. as you can imagine, the parking can be quite scarce to find immediately near the church itself but a block or two away shouldn't be too hard to find which is what i did. i was upset as i was a bit late for the start time of the graduation so i was stuck standing on the side because the seats had been filled. unsurprisingly, i ended up pretty happy about standing on the side because i was able to gaze up at the glass, murals and the high ceilings.”

Shrine And Parish Church Of The Holy Innocents

128 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018, United States

“We didn't know that this beautiful and traditional Catholic Church existed in the midst of the busy city. Walked in to a Latin mass, just solemn. Confession and exposition of Blessed Sacrament were present. It was really hot inside the church, but it isn't about being comfortable while Christ is giving an ultimate sacrifice. Definitely a very traditional church, praying all churches are like it.”

St Cyril Of Alexandria Catholic Church

“It's weird that people don't seem enthused about the opportunity of providing the Eucharist to the laity. I feel like the commonplace restriction of Christ the Servant to the Diaconate almost justifies the nonsensical Synod on Synodality. The RCIA program is straightforward and I'm learning a bit. The homilies at Mass are generally pretty entertaining. And the cat that's in the courtyard is a girl named Tiger. She's had kittens before but they were taking up by members of the church so she mostly hangs around getting petted all the time.”

“I am very disappointed in the ground maintenance that has degraded over the years! In summers they knock over and run over flowers and items. To a point we don't put potted flowers there any more. One year after that I purchased a $35 predecorated cross. Within a month or so, it was gone! I called the office and a young Spanish person who answered the office phone he told me "it was too large (over 12" high)" it was not! "So it was removed." So I didn't put anything there for a while. After a couple years I put another $35 cross there 12" high. Well, it disappeared again! So these days I put smaller inexpensive items there and even those sometimes get mowed over! In recent years the cemetary had added new graves. There is a Spanish area. The only reason I mention this is because those graves have multiple decorations large and small that seem to be there ALL the time! I don't know if the management knows this but it seems the workers are prejudice. There is a section in back where they put/dump the items that they remove seasonally and I have seen personal items from various nationalities and races, none of which look Spanish. This is a Catholic cemetary and I find this very disrepectful. There is no excuse for prejudice here from anyone!”
