“Had a nice lunch at Down Under on the Markt in Sittard. I initially wanted to go for the "Devils Burger", but Ian from Down Under pointed out that the sauce was made from Carolina Reapers. That had escaped my notice. CR peppers have a Scoville score of at least 1,600,000! Compared to a Jalapeño pepper of 2.5 -8000, that is really too much for me. Ian was happy to provide a separate container of their CR sauce with my delicious Bushtucker burger. Conclusion; YES. That was really too hot. :)”

“On a short break with my son from the UK visiting a couple of theme parks. We were staying a short distance from Fat Alice and had already decided we were going to eat there after reading reviews. Getting into the restaurant was a challenge as there was some major road construction right outside, upon entering, the place was very busy so glad we found out way in.. We had garlic bread to share with ribs and chicken burger to follow, food was amazing! Everyone who served us spoke perfect English and we're so helpful and polite. Thankyou everyone we had a great experience.”

“Delicious food, the salmon papilotte and the dish of the day with deer steak. Only the wine is definitely not okay. First ordered a glass of pinot grigio and then a glass of sauvignon blanc. The first glass tasted like water. I thought, OK, bad wine, but the second glass also tasted like water. Actually, there was no noticeable difference between the Pinot Grigio and the Sauvignon Blanc. There was only one similarity, the glass consisted of at least a third of water. The smell wasn't right either. I don't want to say whether this is the fault of the winegrower or the restaurant, but as a wine connoisseur I still feel slightly cheated.”
