Paid £12 for the burger, which I feel maybe it's slightly expensive as it wasn't too filling, but I left comfortable. Staff were nice and welcoming though.”

“We booked in advance for a group of 6 of us for lunch, 2 vegans, 1 veggie and 3 omni. Lots of different choices on the menu, it was hard to decide what to have! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. I ordered the arancini starter, which was nice. Some ordered the crispy tofu which I tried and it was sooo good! I will definitely be ordering that next time. for my main I ordered the asian fusion tray and this was delicious. Dessert I has the mango cake which was lovely too. Overall a very good experience and brilliant food too. Would return.”

“Walked in without a reservation, and judging by how many people they unfortunately had to turn away, we timed it well! We were warned of a 30-40 min wait in food as we were seated which was fine, and I didn't time it but I don't think it took that long for our two burgers to come out. The menu is varied, with a few daily specials too. Drinks were reasonable and again, a good selection. Our two burgers (one beef and one lamb) were delightful, and the fries some of the crispiest I've had in a while. The service stood out though, with the team being personable and friendly - impressive after working all through December in my opinion!”

“Sadly, very disappointed, having read previous reviews. OH had the Sunday Roast, which was all fresh cooked produce and lovely. I had the Scampi and whilst the Scampi itself was good, the fries were just oven fries and they were drenched in salt. Seriously, I have never been presented a meal with that much salt on it. It made the fries inedible and I actually felt sick. Why put so much salt on when there is salt on the tables? Surely diners season to their own taste? You can’t remove what’s been added in the kitchen but you could add more, if you choose to. As someone else has said, the drinks are pricey-almost £7 for a pint. Service was great-couldn’t fault it. If you’re looking for romantic, or serene, this isn’t for you-really noisy. Sorry to say that I won’t be rushing back.”

“First visit to Harbour Light for my husband and I last night and what a pleasure. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Much bigger that it looks from the outside and nice decor and ambiance. We had mussels and arancini to start followed by chicken supreme and hake. Everything was perfect, absolutely delicious and plenty of it we didn’t have any room for dessert. Wish I’d got our waiters name so I could mention him on here as he went above and beyond, so helpful. Well done to the management excellent experience from start to finish and we will definitely return and recommend 🤩”

“I visited the Robin Hood Inn for a wreath making class with a group of friends. The package was £65 and included a welcome tea/coffee and mince pie, wreath making class, glass of Prosecco and a two course lunch. Superb experience. The Bothy is a very nice venue, the staff lovely and the food served quickly and efficiently. The shop is excellent with some lovely fresh and frozen produce, and who doesn't love seeing the animals. New baby pigmy goats being born at the moment who are so very tiny and utterly adorable!”

“REAL burger joint. I ordered the spicy bird & chicken fries. Really good food, the chicken fillet was fresh, hot and moist inside. The buffalo sauce on the chips was really vivid! I could tell even the chicken in the fries was freshly made. The whole meal had a kick too. So so good! It tasted much better than it looks. Served and presented well. The theme inside is pretty cool too! Highly recommend!”

“Without a doubt one of the best burgers I've had in my lifetime, and I love a burger. I had the Argentinian burger with Naga loaded fries, and a Munich lager. To start with the fries, they were the perfect balance of heat and flavour, even without mentioning the burger the fries are worth a return visit! My friend even said half way through the fries she was sad as she couldn't have the first bite again. The burger was something special, to put it into words describing how good it was would be an injustice on how good it actually was. All I can say, is go there and try it for yourself! It's more than worth its cost. They also do a good selection of beers, including fruit beers which are delicious. Also as an added bonus they have a number of TVs with sports playing, so this would be the perfect place to watch lunchtime games.”

“We phoned and someone answered quickly unlike many others, a polite chat and a table booked, when we got here it was quite busy which was a good sign and parking is tight. We had the Camembert sharer which was excellent and enough bread to see us to the end (10/10), Slow cooked ribs for main, we got 2 ribs and they did taste excellent but was disappointed by the amount of actual meat, each ribs was about 25% meat the rest is bone and fat. The strawberry cheese cake desert was excellent. We had 1 large gin & tonic, 1 Pims, 1 pint soda water/lime, 3 courses came to £80, we gave £10 tip. The service from all the staff was excellent and extremely helpful, overall very nice and we would return but not sure if we would have the ribs, 3 ribs would have been better. Definitely worth a visit.”

“The truffle butter burger was great, not extraordinary but pretty great and filling. BBQ chicken bites were nice as were the loaded fries if not a bit too oily. They had some sort of disinfectant smell on the tables which was off-putting. All meat is halal. Overall quite pricy for two people at £60!”
