The Bothy is a very nice venue, the staff lovely and the food served quickly and efficiently. The shop is excellent with some lovely fresh and frozen produce, and who doesn't love seeing the animals. New baby pigmy goats being born at the moment who are so very tiny and utterly adorable!”

“The food took over half an hour to arrive after ordering but tasted delicious. CONS: The portion sizes were slightly smaller than what should be priced for, especially the cheesy fries as we were told by a waitress that it would be enough for two people. As mentioned before, the food took a while despite only ordering one burger each for two people with barely any customers in the room. PROS: The food was great and worth the price overall. It was filling for the both of us and would recommend again. The staff were also approachable and polite.”

Delicious food, friendly attentive staff, fresh cakes, tasty ice cream and strong coffee served quickly and in style. Even the fudge is homemade and over delicious! Portions are huge. Grant yourself additional time to be ready to leave. :) The restrooms are modern and full of art, crispy clean and stuffed with all necessary items. The place is child friendly, doggies have their space outside. Assistance dogs are welcome inside. It was a pleasure to be their guests. We definitely will plan our rides through the AH+L on our upcoming journeys.”

“Came here on the whim after searching places to eat in the area when we were staying near burnt island and both myself and my partner couldn’t believe how good it was. Got parked really easy near the entrance, there was plenty of seating, wasn’t too busy and the food was out of this world. Really good quality and probably prices about right. The mussels in white sauce are absolutely fantastic, make sure you order a spoon to enjoy the sauce unless you prefer to use the shells. The Ayrshire Pork Tomahawk was fab too. “I have to say it was pretty descent. Ordered The Labyrinth burger which came with a very cool sticker 😆. I don’t know what they did to it but it tasted pretty good and the beef tasted fresh not frozen. I did ask for extra Lux sauce which made the different as it had smokey flavour. Chips were descent, not soggy (they use good boxes) and their garlicky Club sauce was perfect for dipping. I think they also used Maldon sea salt for the chips which is fantastic! I just wish the chips had more rosemary. The salad was very fresh - I could taste they squeezed some fresh lemon on top, it had actual mango pieces as well as fresh herbs and fresh guacamole! Yes, actual mashed avocado! Not bad at all. Felt like it was made by a chef who cares and likes his job. Thank you!”
