“10 stars!! I cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant. It was amazing watching how this entire crew handled the influx of guests coming in. The food was superb. My family and I tried other places in the area, but nothing we tried compared. We ate here at least 4 out of the 5 days we were vacationing in the area. As I ate the yummy-ness placed in front of me. I watched every staff member work in harmony- truly a beautiful symphony. Bravo!!!!!”

“Excellent little spot for an amazing breakfast. Unique breakfast combinations that all sound delicious. Fresh lobster eggs Benedict was my choice and it did not disappoint. Perfect amount of lobster and hollandaise sauce with nicely poached eggs. They also have different flavors of mimosas, so I tried the apple cider mimosa. It came rimmed with cinnamon sugar and it was excellent!!”

“Great place to come watch the games. The bartender was happy to put on the game that we were looking for. I ordered the wings with the sauce on the side and they happily accommodated me. Crispy and meaty I was pleased. They had drink specials on bottles of beer during the games too. I enjoyed the espresso martini which was made to perfection. After the games, we enjoyed the seating out on the back patio, enjoyed the weather under the umbrella’s.”

“The standard of service and food has deteriorated. Very rude n abrupt young men answering the phones. I had my order messed up on Three different occasions the last one was on Dec 22. I ordered well done wings with sauce on the side. When I got my gathering wings were half cooked and No Sauce in the bag. I tried to call on Dec 26 to complain but the rude youth answered and kept putting me on hold. When I did get to speak he claimed to supervisor or manager was on duty and still kept hanging up on me when I call. No more of you guys you went from the best around to the worst. Shame on You!!”

“Trying out a lobster roll for the first time, it was really good. The bun was crispy and the filling was creamy. I wished the bun could be bigger 😆. We also ordered a lunch special baked stuffed sole, came with big portion of fries (crispy and well seasoned) and coleslaw (made fresh). I didn't know what sole was but they were so delicious. The whole portion was perfect. Overall, it was the perfect summer lunch to start exploring West Haven beach.”

“Capitol Lunch in New Britain perfects the art of keeping it simple. Fantastic food and fantastic service. Parking is easy on the street or in parking lot across the street. Once inside you step back in time to a luncheonette type of feel. Service is super friendly and everyone feels welcome. Hot dogs have a nice snap to them. The "famous" dog with mustard, onions and sauce is a great tasting combination. Fries and onion rings are cooked perfectly also. Definitely worth a visit to say you've been there ... and you'll go back again.”
