“A tonkatsu restaurant located about 3-5 minutes walk from Kagoshima Chuo Station. I ordered the Kurokatsutei set meal and my wife ordered the roast pork cutlet lunch set meal. There are 2 types of sauce and 3 types of taste including plum salt, so you can enjoy it. The black cutlet set meal and tonkatsu were small, but I enjoyed the two flavors of fillet cutlet and loin cutlet. The batter sticks to the meat well and is crispy! The original sauce has a complex flavor and is very delicious! Perfect compatibility with meat! It has a lot of rice, so even if you don't have to refill it, the average person will be satisfied. You can get refills of cabbage and rice. I ordered a second helping of rice, but the rice was also very delicious! The pork soup is also delicious and goes well with the rice. I received a piece of pork loin for lunch, but I thought the taste was a little different, perhaps because it was a different part from the black cutlet set meal, or maybe it was just a coincidence. There are counter seats, tables, and private rooms. I went at lunchtime, so there was a line. It seems to be a famous shop that has shops in Tokyo and Hakata and is visited by many tourists. “Good beef quality. You can choose the beef to be seasoned in Soy Sauce (Sweet/Salty Yakiniku sauce) or Salted. I ordered the SET (Kalbi, Sirloin and Ribs) about 4500.- yen in Soy Sauce. My favourite was the Sirloin in which I ended up ordering more on its own. Moreover, the Tongue and the side dishes-Cabbage Kimchi, Bean Sprouts, etc. were great too. The price was reasonable for its quality and in my opinion it is much cheaper than those well known Kobe and Matsusaka type. A memorable place for a tourist like myself.”

It went very well with Japanese rice (although you could opt for bread). Service was not exceptional but acceptable. They accept major credit cards too (which is not so common among old eateries), another pleasant surprise.”

Order is via their tablet and I got the hamburger steak with camembert and it was beyond delicious. I was so happy with the meat, cheese, sauce and little pops of chili. It was my last day in Kyoto but how I wish I could go back again to have this.”

“Definitely the place to go for lamb, the only other meat on the menu is chicken. The lamb sausage was a juicy delight just watch out that the pockets of oil don't spray anyone at the table. A real treat and surprise was the light smokey taste of the potato salad and the thick slap of bacon that accompanied it. Lamb shoulder, leg, and rump that is what you should go for. The rump and shoulder were tender, juicy, and outrageously wonderful. I loved gnawing on the bone from the shoulder.”
