“Very good little gem. Visited today for dinner, and greatly surprised of the quality of the pub. Inside it is absolutely spotless clean, atmosphere very cosy, and staff friendly. Food was 9/10 and service also, this due to not being double checked after we had our mains, and the veggies were microwaved and not fully cooked. We’ve noticed all the food comes on a plate, but chips and veggies separate which is a new thing and we couldn’t decide weather is working or not, as we had to share a bowl of chip’s between us. I totally recommend the pate, chicken goujons, and the pie for the main. The pie was cooked perfectly, and the beef was very very tasty and soft. Puddings 9/10, again, custard seemed to be microwaved and had some lumps inside and a jelly texture, but only few places are doing dessert in the house nowadays so its totally understandable. We’ll definitely be back as it was a worthy experience. Very good prices for food but also for the drinks considering the current markets. Thank you.”

“I could have stayed there for hours to eat the whole menu! Came here in November for a romantic dinner with my girlfriend after hearing lots of good feedback from friends about this place. We started with some mezze and very tasty sauces. The bread is made there which could can definitely taste in for how fresh it was. Then we had some plates to share: aubergine (in photo) which was amazing, but my favorite of the night was the cabbage (which I could not take a picture of since I could not stop eating it). We finished with the duck which was again so tender and tasty. Staff was very friendly, attentive and polite. Price is on the higher end but is definitely worth the food. Will come back soon.”

“We visited Lomito for my son's 14th birthday. He’s a bit of a stake connoisseur and the team were so friendly and accommodating, he was able to speak with the chef and manager. They treated him like a VIP. The cocktails were awesome. My son’s stake was beautifully cooked, my highlight was the corn ribs, the sauce that came with them was rich and delicious. The beef melted in my mouth and was the best of any carvery I have had anywhere else. The vegetables were well cooked and not underdone as in some other establishments. Each of us commented on the beef and wondered how the chef cooked it to such perfection. The meal was to celebrate my wife’s birthday and went down a storm! The pork crackling tasted horrible, the sausage ball was so cheap tasting and the worst of all was the stuffing, it tasted like washing up liquid and even my family agreed very soapy taste. If we are all sick then we know why. Another thing was there was no trays It was very busy and too packed, couldn't get seated properly, hard to move and definitely not recommend today. I'm very disappointed as this place is usually nice to dine.”

“This shop makes the best steak pasty out of the 3 that I have tried. The filling is very flavorful, the meat is tender and you can feel the potatoes and onions. A bit salty, that's why I'm not giving it 5 stars. It's served piped hot so I'll take a good 15 minutes before it starts cooling down. £4.5 for it which is standard around town but this one is big enough to challenge other shops' "large pasty" for a price of £5.50. good value”

“So my buddy called me up at the ungodly hour of 9:45 pm, apparently forgetting that humans need sustenance to survive. He was craving some juicy, succulent meat, and I couldn't let him starve (or worse, turn into a hangry monster). We scoured the barren wasteland that is Borehamwood for a place to eat, but most joints had already packed up and gone home. Except for one shining beacon of hope: The Arch Restaurant. We stumbled in at 10 pm, just as the staff were winding down for the night. But to our surprise, they greeted us with open arms. I wasn't really in the mood for a late-night feast, but my friend was practically drooling at the thought of meat. So we ordered the "Arch Special" meat extravaganza for two, along with some Efes beers. Let me tell you, that meat platter was a beast. It was so massive, I could've sworn it had its own gravitational pull. But it was damn delicious. We tried our best to tackle it, but it was like wrestling a wild boar. Thankfully, we managed to avoid the pitas of doom and finish off most of the carnivorous bounty. The bill came out to £65 for everything, which was a steal considering how much meat we consumed. But I have to admit, after that meal, I couldn't even look at a steak without feeling queasy for the next three days. Maybe next time, I'll stick to a salad. Or just fast for a week before trying such a feast.”

You have a great selection of different sausages (incl. vegeterian and vegan options), mash potatoes and gravy. I went for the Pork&Chilli ones which had a good amount of spice. The interior is really nice and cozy with a little fire place and classic decoration on the tables. The barman was super friendly and helpful (also quite easy on the eyes - if that is of importance to you). Would come back to Brighton just for this!”

“Large dog friendly pub with very friendly, helpful and attentive staff. You can have your meals in the bar area which are the dog friendly area. The TV could be turned down a bit in the bar area. For beer, I'd recommend the Atlantic Pale Ale. Carvery offered up a huge selection. The meat was tasty and tender with crispy spuds & yorkies and a lovely gravy. They also offer a vegetarian option with a nut roast & it's own accompanying vegetarian gravy, the nut roast was absolutely huge.”
