“On the way back from europapark we went here for dinner and the food was so good that the next day we drove back there for round two. I can highly recommend the steaks which were cooked perfectly both times. The starters(flamkuchen and bruchetta) were also very tasty. The portions are huge, so you might want to consider sharing but you will need to like meat. There are no vegetarian or vegan options available :) all in all a neat restaurant with great food and good prices.”

We like to sit outside and hey... if I can recommend sth then order the “Tournedos Hubertus” with a good Keller 🍺 to that. Prices are fair, location is great, Besigheim is great so in other words enjoy!”

“First time here for anyone in our party. Apparently it is a family run place with simple homestead cooking. Our waiter was a young man, who was friendly and courteous. He even made the effort to speak English to us, which was appreciated. Decided to have a pork schnitzel that came with salad. The salad was really tasty and the dressing was really nice. I'm not a great salad eater, but I would happily make an exception for this one. When my main course came, there were two large schnitzels. They were both over 20 centimetres across, with a good portion of chips. My only "complaint" if you can call it that, was slightly on the salty side for me, but then I rarely add salt to my food anyway. And the large beer certainly helped. The main question is, "Would I eat there again?" and the answer is yes!”

“While the surroundings might be somewhat of a turn down, once you are in the yard and on the terrace, the atmosphere is actually quite lovely. The furnishing is kept simply but very clean and tidy, the place is obviously very well looked after. The service is very friendly and forthcoming. The rotating lunch menu invites for you to a second visit. The salmon pasta and Mediterranean swordfish, too, were rather simple dishes but well prepared and treated authentic. Greatly recommended”

“We tried today the Caldeirada á Pescador and it was spectacular, so satisfying it felt like soul food, a generous portion in a beautiful terracota pot a highly recommendable dish from the Schloss Restaurant. I can't wait to get now one like this with their amazing lamb! Edit - the desert included in the picture is home made, added just for aesthetic purposes. ---- Edit: We tried also the lamb in the terracota pot, I had already reviewed the lamb from the Neuenbürg Schloss Restaurant however prepared and served in this terracota pot it was specially tender and flavorful, and both me and my friend coincided this is just the best lamb dish we have tried. The lamb will indeed have you craving for this dish, be advised if you try it, it is likely you will have to have it over and over again! --- Second Edit: We tried all Terracota Pot dishes now with the Kalbfleisch-Eintopf and it was really a nurturing dish after a cool hike in the area. My personal favorite remains their Eingelegtes Lamm however any of these options in the Terracota pot is a generous portion, a delightful meal, and a cultural experience in its own right.”
