The Little Banksia
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 07:00 AM

78 Banksia Terrace, Kensington WA 6151, Australia

“Nice breakfast place with good food. Good vegetarian and gluten free options. Some people in my group complained that their food was cold, but still enjoyed what they ordered. It's a nice place, but may be worth noting that there is a step at the entrance and another to enter the main dining area. It's a tight squeeze to move around in some parts, it can also be a bit crowded and loud when it gets busy, but very open and doesn't feel claustrophobic or overwhelming.”

Laneway

2/38 Steele St, Devonport TAS 7310, Australia

“Not sure about this place. Waitress told me to pick a seat, I just pick a stool in front of the window, as I didn't see any other table available. Maybe she should mention it was a second room on the second floor with tables you are not able to see from entry. She abandon me, so after 5+plus minutes of waiting, I decide to be proactive and approch to counter to order (venue was bussy. But not enought to abandon a costumer). I seat in front of the window, but sun make it difficult so move to 2nd floor (a sun screen film need to be installed on front window, otherwise, you are loosing that space on mornings). The signature dish was not as amazing as I was expecting. Toaster broke so I receive two slides of sourdough cold with no melted butter (the bread was keep on the fridge). The plate was huge but the presentation really straight foward. Chef, remember! 1/3 of the experience is visual. I was curious about the miso mushrooms, were indeed a nice add. Salt and pepper missing on table. Not sauce offered. Cappucino was good quality, but for the prices I will expect better presentation on the venue and dishes. I miss the little complementary mashmellow on side (in my way in I saw a jar full of them). The only table available in second floor give me a not welcoming view of a empty second kitchen (staff keep that door open, no idea why). If they put money to have a marzocco coffee machine, please, spend time and little bit money to improve the glassware and coffee mug (not nice to go to the best rate caffee place in town and receive a cappu in a woolworths cup). Maybe try with the op-shops, for sure different cool coffee mug will elevate the vibe of the place. In the meanwhile, give some spray paint to the staff to fill that empty hugly door with any crazy colorfull draw. Kuddos to the restroom decor. I will give a second chance.”

Cafe Gourmand
4.8
( 8 reviews ) $$

2545 Gold Coast Hwy, Mermaid Beach QLD 4218, Australia

“A good amount of seating inside and outside. Outside is cooler, inside can get a little stuffy. Coffee was good and service is prompt. We loved both the avocado and mushroom tartine and the salmon croissant roll. Both absolute delights. The tartine balanced the goats cheese perfectly with the mushrooms, avocado and egg. The salmon croissant roll was a little saltier but still very well balanced.”

“It was my 1st time, the lady at the cashier was friendly and welcoming. I Ordered 2. Half Moon, love it! Flavours were good, veggies were fresh and sweet. Will definitely return when i’m in the area! On a side note, dining area is only al fresco.”

Roastville Coffee Roasters

“Good coffee and food. The poached eggs was perfect and the coffee is nice and strong. I personally think the price is on the higher end considering the serving but it is made well. The staff are friendly too. The cafe can get very loud when it’s full otherwise is a nice cafe to meet friends.”

Mister Sunshine's

32 George St, Thebarton SA 5031, Australia

“A completely unexpected hidden treasure. Despite all of the high-end reviews of Mr. Sunshine and being included on lists of “Places to eat”. We stumbled upon this café, as the highest rated breakfast restaurant in the area. We were not sure driving over to it as it is in an industrial, in a tucked away area. But once we got there, boy were we surprised at what we found. We found a very cozy, welcoming fun atmosphere. If you go here, you will know what we mean. Plenty of seating outside in a covered, enclosed area. If you are chilly out there, they even have homemade blankets you can pull over your shoulders. Inside, we felt like we were at home, but if our home was retro. It was such a comfortable spot to be in. It had a retro feel, a lot of buzz, with music playing on a record player. Just a joy to see. Add, on to that no matter how busy they are (which has been both times we have been there), they are all very attentive, and give amazing service. We never make reservations, but they have always quickly found ways to accommodate us. Now the food takes this spot to a whole new level. The flavours mix in what you would expect with a traditional brunch, but they add in the amazing flavours of areas like the middle east. Every dish is executed very well, which would seem surprising based on how busy the kitchen it, but it has been consistently great. We would recommend the shakshuka eggs, the french toast and “El Capitan” breakfast. Overall, high recommendations for Mr. Sunshine. We can confidently say they will not disappoint but will surprise you.”

Social Manna

253 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park WA 6100, Australia

“A nice cafe located in the centre of the Victoria Park. Interestingly, the seats are surrounded by the various kind of tea spoons which decorated on the walls. We had a good brunch with the great service. Highly recommend this place for families and friends.”

Sazon Espresso

Closed until 06:30 AM

1/24 Gawler St, Mount Barker SA 5251, Australia

“We were unsure about visiting for breakfast as menu refers to brunch. Arrived at 8.30 am Saturday before shopping in nearby Drake's, and already other customers. Good humming atmosphere, clean well laid out with pleasant outdoor option that still allows unrestricted rural view. We prefer a place offering the kind of food we wouldn't be trying at home, and the menu was full of such options. Turns out there were good, interesting and tasty breakfast options, which even satisfied finicky 16 year old son. Coffee was smooth and to our liking. Breads (Turkish and bagel) were softer than expected, but seemed wholesome and very nice. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly. Certainly expect to return.”

106 George St, Launceston TAS 7250, Australia

“We had never tried the place before but had to travel to Launceston for medical treatment and wanted to find something gluten free for lunch. What a gem we found! The prices were reasonable ($65 for two meals and drinks), the service was fast and friendly, and the food was really tasty. We will definitely be booking ahead next time because the owner had to fenagle us a table, but thankfully we only had two people. They’re pretty busy for a good reason.”

“The lobster roll that my friend ordered looked great! The middle eastern scramble was nice, though I thought the slow cooked lamb was a bit plain for its price. The kids menu was a good venue.”

“This is a tasty place to enjoy some Swedish cuisine. Here you will see familiar dishes with a Swedish flair. Delicious! Even the avocado toast is special here. I liked everything but the cafe is very small so it gets busy very quickly. I recommend trying this if you're on Manly beach.”

Dukes Coffee Roasters

Closed until 07:00 AM

247 Flinders Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia

“The store maintained a tidy environment, with generally friendly staff providing fast service. The take-away cappuccino I ordered was delicious, yet I tasted a separation between the milk and froth from the latte. This left me disappointed, as the taste resembled supermarket coffee milk rather than the quality one would expect from a barista.”

Mr. Benedict

664 Dean St, Albury NSW 2640, Australia

“Mr. Benedict is a hidden gem for coffee lovers in Albury. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a cup of joy. The coffee and Tea itself is top-notch, with a variety of blends and brewing methods to choose from. Whether you’re a fan of espresso or pour-over, this coffee shop has got you covered. The baristas are true artists, crafting each cup with precision and care. I strongly recommend their egg Benedict with salmon that was the ⭐️ star. Kaffeine & Co Yagoona

7/44 Dargan St, Yagoona NSW 2199, Australia

“not bad but not good! 🙁 Been wanting to try this local cafe for a while so I came down solo on a weekend. Service from staff was mediocre as most of them were pretty young. The menu items seem so overpriced so I got one of the cheapest things on the menu: Portugese Chicken Burger. It was $22 and it was a standard burger. The bread was really dense so it wasn’t soft and satisfying to eat. Didn’t balance with the flavours inside the burg. 😭 Chicken was cooked ok, could have been more juicy but it was more on the dry side. The chips were hectic however! Very crispy and fluffy on the inside.🤌🏼 So overall, not bad but considering the prices of everything else I don’t think I would dine here ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/6 ig @hangryhawlz for more local food!”

Autumn Rooms - Darby Street

127 Darby St, Cooks Hill NSW 2300, Australia

“This place is amazing!!! Booking/Greeting It was full when we arrived, but it took us 10 minutes to get a table for 2 with a walk along Darby St for entertainment. The host was so friendly and their booking system for walk ins was superb. Coffee We ordered coffees and all were delicious! So smooth! The iced latte with oat milk and agave on tap --- incredible! Also, the biggie smalls is a revelation in coffee form. It's great that you can do the on tap refills. Such a great idea! The single origin coffee is also pretty amazing. You just have to try it. Food I had an AR Hash. So yum! So many thoughtful flavours and textures together. Every bight was brilliant. My partner gave me some bites of the scramble. It was a mighty scramble with the finger lime and pickled onion and soft goats cheese (I think). The lettuce and smooth scrambled eggs were a great texture and taste combo that felt novel in this setting with the other interesting garnishes and the way the eggs were cooked. Service and Ambiance The staff were all lovely! I mean, so friendly and helpful and just delightful. It has a homey welcoming feel. I have added some ambiance shots to show how fantastic this place feels. The ambiance is excellent with all the plants, the lighting and the lack of rush, but still bustling feeling of the staff and guests.”
