“We had a good time there. The maids were nice and there is a fairly low min spend. All the prices were very reasonable, especially compared to what you would spend in Japan. The maid that spoke to us, 月？ was polite and chatty. I think people have unrealistic expection of these places. There are only a few staff, and they have to act as waitresses, mix drinks, take photos and chat with customers now and then. It's 520 ntd for a full meal and photo package, so I am not sure what people are whining about. I see reviewers complaining about not having enough attention for going or wanting to call in to chat with a specific girl; pretty out of touch expectations. Go in with expectation of an air conditioned place with okay tasting but cute food served by cute waitresses and you will have a good time.”

Then again, this was probably my fault as I didn't realise this is one of those places with a 2 hour time limit and not a cafe where you can sit and work. They were nice enough to let me stay but I constantly felt like they wanted me to leave. I ordered a drink and then the food separately. They felt the need to tell me I wouldn't be getting the discount you usually get for a set menu because I ordered separately.... I wasn't expecting a discount and neither did I ask so this information was unnecessary. Please note that using the plugs will be an extra 10nt. Otherwise, very lovely place for a casual brunch/coffee with a friend but not a work friendly space.”

“We have purchased pastry , take away from this outlet of TWG ( TWG @ Taipei 101 building). The cakes were nice. With the nice experience of cake tasting from the previous day, we have hereby came back to this outlet to have some teatime the next day. And it was one of the worst experiences ever. When we first arrived, a staff asked us to be in queued by scan a QR code and then she told us to wait about 40-50 mins to be seated. We have walked around the mall and came back after less than 30 minutes. The same staff informed us that our table is given to someone else as they called us on phone but we didn’t pick up. Eventhough there wasn’t any call , however we were tired and decided to make another reservation. We were again in queue, after 1 group only. Many groups have left during we waited right outside. The group before us in the queue also was seated and many tables were available but the staff kept telling us to wait and she even said don’t know till when. Hardly any of them, working for an English brand tearoom in a capital, at a tourist place, can communicate with customers in english - in a basic understanding. Many other Japanese guests also suspected it was the same reasons why foreigners who don’t speak their language are forever in queue regardless the availability of the shop. TWG should have trained their staffs better, taking into consideration the ranking they claimed for themselves. FYI: the availability is clearly shown in the photo.”
