“This place has one of the best coffees that we've had in DC. The draft coffee is amazingly smooth and creamy. The coffee is fragrant and thoroughly enjoyable, although I usually prefer my coffees to be stronger and bolder in taste. It's not the easiest to find the place considering you have to pass a smaller alleyway to the back to see it. Would definitely be back for another cup before I leave this place. Plenty of art on the walls outside the cafe - a bonus.”

“Colada Shop is a frequent favorite of mine for takeout, first dates, or in this case a weeknight happy hour meetup. Everything is reasonably priced, the staff is welcoming / friendly, and the food / drinks are fantastic! This month (Dec 2023) they have a rotating holiday cocktail menu, with each week featuring two different drinks facing off to win the most votes. I really liked the pomegranate spiced marg-like drink! Will definitely be back to check out the other drinks later this month. The upstairs bar is filled with holiday decorations for a more festive vibe 🎄”

“I've never enjoyed much of urban culture and normal foods made to be unique, though I can say that the atmosphere were very respectful and the service was attentive and kind. The coffee was good, I got a latte with vanilla syrup. I also got their quiche food option, it was good, warm, filled with flavor. However I am not a big fan of goat cheese so it lacked that small bit for me! I would go here again and even recommend it for others.”

The service was excellent, thank you Abby, and the atmosphere was cute and cozy. Will definitely be back to try more teas this summer! Highly recommend!”

“I've enjoyed their Swiss n ham croissants and coffee. Ambience is also nice however the staff can be very careless at times. Went in this morning for our Christmas 🎄 Mini Dutch apple 🍎 pie and the taller brunette female assoc threw our pies in a brown paper bag 😡. No care, no consideration. Unacceptable. And she gave us the wrong pie. And the pie was incredibly meh. 😤. Tasteless.”

“Visited in May 2022 for lunch. The food and drinks were pretty tasty but it was on the border for being worth the cost. Perhaps it was because of the high cost of dining in Washington D.C. The drinks were mildly carbonated and refreshing teas with a hint of sweetness. We ordered sandwiches (not pictured 😔) and the serving sizes felt a little small for our liking. The place was busy yet clean and the service was descent. 6/10”

“Coffee is good. Breakfast sandwiches are premade belly turners. Blonde at the counter, no smiles, not helpful at all somewhat rude and just not welcoming. The couple after us even said something. I’d have the coffee again but I’d go to a chain and feel just the same. Wasted my money here.”
