“Have been before and this time had gift vouchers from our eldest and his partner. Nice and airy venue, plenty of tables we'll set out. Very friendly staff. You can book a table online but we took the risk of just turning up. No problem and were immediately shown to a table. We both had the club sandwich with fries and salad. Excellent choice we thought. It was delicious. The only minus point is that as the restaurant filled up, the noise levels increased but we realise that is going to happen given the high vaulted ceiling. Was enjoyable even so. Thanks to all staff. We will return. Nicely situated next to the Garden centre so makes a nice visit.”

“The service was great. Staff are polite and friendly. The atmosphere is really cozy and warm. The coffee has a really nice blend and the barista surely knows how to make it well. The quality of the food is exceptional. We had the Eggs Royale and Scrambled tofu. Totally recommend the place though all aspects.”

“Visited on a Sunday afternoon for a coffee and hot chocolate after our normal coffee shop over the road on Chelmsford High Street (Caffe Nero) was shut. This Costa is nice, clean and spacious (see photos) and the late afternoon sun comes through the front window. Staff were friendly and efficient and cakes and food well stocked. Both the large hot chocolate (with oat milk) and the Latte were good. However, in terms of quality/taste I still think Caffe Nero is tastier. In terms of cost Costa were 30p more expensive for the same items. Recently Caffe Nero has been often closing before their scheduled closing time which is annoying, so we may well be here more often as Costa seems more reliable.”
