“We have stayed at Lake Sambell at least 5 times. It is one of our favourite campgrounds. The staff are friendly and helpful, the facilities and sites are clean and well maintained. We stayed during a weather alert period and the staff were able to find me a cabin for a couple of nights. We were also able to store our van for a couple of nights while we went up to Falls. The campground location is fantastic for a quick ride into town or the swimming area at the lake. My boys raved about the mountain biking which was only 2km from the campground. We will be back again and again.”

“pulled into dargo after a long days ride soaking wet after riding through rivers and rain . the staff were really welcoming upon arrival. i booked a room at inn across the road that they manage . rooms did the job nicely with comfortable beds , good shower, heating/cooling . i had a feed at the pub and it was huge and cooked to perfection . ill be aiming to be back there just to soak in the great atmosphere there !”

“Amazing experience seeing so many Koalas including one right above our tent and some moms with babies! Campground itself was decent value, facilities were lacking cooking utensils and cutlery but did have pots and pans. Showers were hot and strong mostly, but my partner did have one shower that was freezing cold for her. They give you two tokens per night when you checkin that get you three minutes of shower time. Free mini golf was fun and feed the goats and chickens was fun! There is also a mob of kangaroos nearby which my partner loved.”

“The kitchen plates and utensils were greasy and dirty from previous guests that didn’t clean them well. It seems it is the responsibility of the guests to clean, dry and put away any items used and you must also take out the rubbish before you check out. The listing states that all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized, mmm I beg to differ our place was not very clean. The kitchen utensils are old and cheap, the electric fry pan was old and gross. I spent an hour cleaning it before I could use it only the realize that my fried eggs all fall to the middle of the frypan as the surface is uneven, I decided to use the stove instead and used a cheap frypan provided which is bowed in the middle of it so my eggs ran to the corners of the pan and the electric stove was slow to heat. Perhaps you could look at replacing some of these items so guests can use them. Another interesting point is that you also have to make your own bed if you booked a double room. The main bed is made but the kids beds just have sheets on it and you’re expected to make them yourself. I guess I’d say this place felt more like we rented a camp site with rooms but at a price comparable to a motel room. If none of what I experienced bothers you then you’ll love everything about this property. If they improved these items I would likely stay again hence why I’ve given them 3 out of 5 stars.”

“This place is great for country people visiting the city. There always been heaps of friendly faces, kids included, that seem to understand how “being in Perth” isn’t exactly the same as “being on holiday” elsewhere. The playgrounds, pool, cafe, and easy access to the freeway are superb. Couldn’t think of anything to add that feels like it’s missing. But the maintenance on the place? JFC, I don’t get it. We stayed in a chalet, which was pretty good, but the air conditioner was literally growing carpets of mould. Notified the front desk and they did send someone to clean it up, but it was a dismal job (before and after photos attached). With the seemingly endless amount of people staying here I would have hoped the park had the income to afford much better attention to basic cleaning. If we had a camper van or tent this would have been an absolutely awesome place to stay, but we didn’t, so… it really tempered our overall experience of the place. Thankfully there was heaps to do so we didn’t stay inside much. YUCK!”

“We stayed here as a family in a caravan site. Our site directly backed onto the beach. We had a sneaky little path to the water, and scored views from the back of our van to the ocean. An ultimate site! The toilets were clean on arrival, and the showers were fab. Excellent pressure. The BEST bit was the individual foot mats/towels for the showers - something every caravan park could offer! The only negative was that the bathrooms were not cleaned on Christmas day, and were a bit gross by the end of the day. We can't wait to see all the upgrades that will be done as they have recently become a big4 park.”

“Our second stay at this great caravan park. It’s in a perfect spot right on the river close to everything Noosa has to offer. We had a double slab with plenty of room to park in front of van. Amenities were clean and plentiful. My only negative comments, which management should address are: 1. Ghost sites: People have come to this camp for 20+ years and can rebook as first priority. The number of prime sites at this sought after property with nobody present for weeks on end is disgraceful and unfair. They pay but don’t stay. Our neighbour went to Europe for a month and left his van there. 2. Regulars with two cars, two boats plus their accommodation on their site overcrowds the place. 3. Kids hooning around the walkways and around amenities at speed on their bikes and scooters is dangerous and very disruptive. Otherwise it’s great if you can get a booking.”
