595 Front Miranda Road, Pūkorokoro / Miranda 3576, New Zealand

“We had a 4 days camping. The campsite was well maintained and clean. Mineral spa pool is an added advantage for the guests. I would recommend for others for a good camping experience. Click the link below for video: https://youtu.be/dURI8NvrT8I?si=PLVY77mN7LPiFKFo”

Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve
4.5
( 8 reviews )

5 Kaiteriteri-Sandy Bay Road, Kaiteriteri 7197, New Zealand

“I walked in and got the last available campsite. Paid 64$ for one person and a car. As I arrived to my campsite I realised that I wouldn't feel comfortable in a packed holiday park like this, so i went straight back to the reception to tell them about my situation and get my money refunded before leaving to a more quiet place. The young overweight guy with glasses told me they wouldn't refund for one night. Must be very proud of himself.”

Driftaway Queenstown

Closed until 02:00 PM

11 Lake Avenue, Frankton, Queenstown 9300, New Zealand

“The nicest campground we stayed at during our 3 week van trip across New Zealand! Excellent facilities (kitchen, laundry, bathrooms) and gorgeous views with lots of public areas and playground for kids. The sites were spacious and had picnic tables. We also did the hot tubs which are half off for guests and were awesome!! My only small point of feedback would be to request more frequent cleaning of the women's room. There are no door/curtains separating the shower section from the changing section of the stall so everything gets soaked when someone showers. We were here during high season and I felt like everytime I tried to shower the stalls and floors were soaked and covered with hair. Hard to keep up with when there are so many guests so understandable though. Overall highly recommend!”

Ahipara Holiday Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 01:00 PM

168 Takahe Road, Ahipara 0481, New Zealand

“Beautifully kept grounds and a lovely private powered campsite surrounded by tall trees. Amenities were great! Washing machine, dryer, plenty of bins for recycling, kitchen facilities, clean and tidy showers and toilets. Large tables and bench seats for larger groups. Great indoor space in Reception for hanging out on rainy days with couches, desks and a table tennis table. Short walk to 90 Mile Beach. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.”

Mount Maunganui Beachside Holiday Park
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 12:00 PM

1 Adams Avenue, Mount Maunganui 3116, New Zealand

“If you want to sleep before midnight, don’t bother staying here. The camp has rules that between 10pm - 7:30am is to be completely quiet, but no one is there to enforce them so people just stay up drinking and yelling until as late as they like. For our stay it was after midnight every night. Add to that the cars, radios and drunks in the surrounding area and it’s a complete waste of hundreds of dollars. We went home early and won’t ever be back.”

Kauri Coast Top 10 Holiday Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 01:00 PM

7 Opouteke Road, Dargaville 0379, New Zealand

“Beautiful place for camping. The stream behind is the main attraction of this site. Kitchen facilities could be better like more fridge/freezer space, more hobs for cooking . More shower rooms . It would be nice if they could add couple of toilets on the other end of the site .”

Fitzroy Beach Holiday Park
4.5
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

1d Beach Street, Fitzroy, New Plymouth 4312, New Zealand

“Booked a number of cabins and tent sites at beginning of 2023 for end of year. The team were quick with responses, helpful and easy to understand. By the time we confirmed in Nov a few things had changed, but again it was an easy process to sort. We spend 3 days onsite, over New Years. Staff were wonderful, facilities were kept clean and it felt a safe environment. This site is perfectly positioned for the Light festival, the pools and of course the beach. Happily recommend.”

Ohakune Top 10 Holiday Park

“First time staying at the top 10 Ohakune. We absolutely loved it. Clean and tidy camping ground. Staff upgraded us to a bigger site on arrival as our caravan was 8m long. Plenty of room for our awning and car. Great location to cycle about town. Very safe feel.”

Kaikoura Peketa Beach Holiday Park
4.4
( 8 reviews )

665 SH 1 (7kms South of Township), Peketa Beach, Kaikōura 7374, New Zealand

“Lovely place to stay! Awesome views, right on the beach and surrounded by mountains. Staff aren’t the friendliest and we were told not to use the laundry as they were trying to save water and to “go into town to the laundromat instead” and there was an out of order sign on the laundromat by tent sites (we were camping)… down by the cabins, they were all using the laundry and it was available to them. If you’re going to have laundry as a facility, let us use them 😂”

Hampshire Holiday Parks - Wanaka
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

212 Brownston Street, Wānaka 9305, New Zealand

“Stayed in a cabin for 2 nights. Was a great stay. Cabin got a little warm in the day so was worried about night but it cools down so just keep the windows open when the sun goes behind the mountain and it will cool off fast. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Bathrooms and showers were clean and shower was good with lots of power and lots of hot water. There was a mini fridge in the cabin as well which was nice. Good location to the beach and a nice little walk to the restaurants and shops.”

“Best value for money on our entire Southland trip! Great facilities and very clean! Great chat at the reception. Easy stroll to the lake. Great to see dogs on site, would be even better with dog friendly small cabins with a cleaning bond or something like that. Great experience overall. A+”

Alpine Adventure Holiday Park
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

200 Jacks Pass Road, Hanmer Springs 7334, New Zealand

“The perfect campsite with fantastic owners. A quiet site even when busy, with amazing scenery. But the highlight of this site is Alan and his staff. Went out of their way to get us into Hamner due to no taxis in the area. And gave us the best advice on where to go and how to get home- even offering to pick us back up if we struggled. Facilities clean and safe. Thank you for a fantastic stay!”

Hokitika Holiday Park
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

11 Providence Drive, Arahura Valley 7882, New Zealand

“This is a great park - it might not have a view, but the amenities make up for it. It has several toilet blocks spread out around the park, with a big central kitchen, dining area and lounge - needed because it rained while I was there. The kitchen was very thoroughly cleaned in the evening and seemed to be well equipped, although I only used it to cool my beer! Wifi was unlimited and worked well. It is a few minutes out of town, so best for those who have a vehicle.”

Whangateau Holiday Park
4.5
( 16 reviews )

559 Leigh Road, Whangateau 0985, New Zealand

“Staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. We stayed on our motorhome for only one night on our voyage back from seeing the far North and this site was good enough to have us overnight. It’s actually a beautiful part of NZ we didn’t know about. The facilities here such as bathrooms, toilets are cooking facilities are ultra modern and clean and there are go-karts/pedal carts for the kids available, a very family friendly oriented site. Thank-you for having an office open past 6:30pm for long distance travellers, it was very convenient and refreshing for us to be able to check in. Cheers”

Punakaiki Beach Camp
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 02:00 PM

5 Owen Street, Punakaiki 7873, New Zealand

“Totally surprised by how nice this place was. Riverside cabins seem to be best option for 2 people. Nice views and a private deck. Shared bathroom facilities were very clean. My overall experience here was almost as good as the room I paid $650 /night for in Franz Josef (except to be fair, that room included an incredible 5 course dinner. The food cart on the property was also impressive. Had a fish cake for dinner that was amazing. The enormous beach is only a few steps away and could hear the waves crashing from our cabin. There national park (pancake rocks) is just a short walk away. Definitely don't want to miss a stop there.”

Whangaruru Beachfront Camp & Motel
4.5
( 16 reviews )

Ohawini Road, Ōakura 4314, New Zealand

“It is a great camping spot with all the facilities nearby. The store there is convenient if you need any last minute things. The bathroom and kitchen seemed a little outdated and a bit worn, but it is what you expect when camping and compared to other campsites it’s good. The beach there is suitable for those who do fishing, water sports, or are beginner swimmers who stay away from big waves. It is family friendly, quiet at night. Suitable for small groups, couples and kids.”

“My partner and I had properly bought camp items (tent) to first time experience a great get away, and the experience here was amazing; affordable to have a powered camp site, beautiful shops near by, healthy activities occurring at the beach near by (many locations to swim as there is sand and rock formation). Beautiful to drive further within Auckland from this location- you’d be impressed. HIGHLY recommend and it’s suitable for all campers.”
