The town is characterful and typical, and the view across the river from the site is absolutely stunning. All local shops, restaurants and bars within 10 mins walking distance, as well as a small Carrefour.”

“We stayed here in the low season, in early June 2023. This is a lovely campsite. It is well run and efficient. The manager/owner lives on site with his family, is always present and available, and encourages feedback good or bad. The reception staff are very friendly, the pitches are a good size and many are shaded if you want this. The shower and toilet blocks are adequate but not luxurious, and there is a little bar and restaurant. There is bike hire and, I think, canoe hire with launching on the river across the road. The site is well positioned and quiet. There is a very nice sheltered, heated swimming pool which has recently been refurbished, and a jacuzzi added. There are many good quality sun loungers, chairs, and parasols, and a small fenced off child play area incorporated. The pool is probably the highlight of this campsite. Takeaway pizzas are available on some nights and the restaurant was open many nights even in early season. Bread can be ordered from reception the day before. We have been coming here for many years and believe that the new owners have put many improvements in place, which are welcome.”

“The most friendly and heart warming hosts you can imagine. They provide good sized pitches for almost any size of mobile homes. Pitches are grassed and stable. As a special service they offer a little rental car for cheap money and in the evening there is a kiosk open with nice fast food, oysters and wine. There are seating facilities outside or in case of bad weather you can sit in the big tent and enjoy the food. Also a continental breakfast is available in the morning. Facilities are modern and clean. However some people seemed to like to exhibit the remains of their digestion. Utterly disrespectful. A nice bar, a little shop and a pizzeria are about one kilometer away. In Pleubian you can avail of all services of a small tow. We most definitely recommend this place and regret that we only stayed 3 day. Best wishes.”

“We’ve been visiting this site for many years, staff always superb. Facilities excellent and clean. We’ve made many friends over the years. St Remy nice town. The last time we came June23 I noticed that some of the pitches had become tired and the hedge rows on the pitches were not good especially at ground level. Unfortunately we had One such Pitch 93 I think. We had a Dog and on occasions used the football area for exercise of the dog. Again this area has become tired and in need of refreshing. It’s always good that doggy bags are provided but once again inconsiderate dog owners spoil it for us all. One reviewer mentioned no atmosphere at the site. I have to agree that it appeared to have become a bit clickish. Thanks anyway for all the good times we have had at Monplaisir and thanks to your professional family and staff.”
