Str. Bergamini, 51, 37019 Peschiera del Garda VR, Italy

“We are returning family & love this site! It’s small & friendly with a calm ambience. The pool is beautiful, the view, depth and sun beds are perfect! We have a car so find it easy to drive to a local supermarket & into town but the 2km walk along the lake promenade is beautiful. We stayed in a chalet, it has a hob & microwave but no oven, toaster or grill but clean and lovely terrace. Can’t wait to go back 😀”

“My first impression was that this camping is somewhat dated and with not too much of an offering. At the end it was very adequate for our needs and we had a good time here with our kids of 1 and 4 years of age. The installations is somewhat of age, but generally working, hygienic spaces are kept clean and tidy. Staff is friendly, I get the impression the place is family driven. As you enter the camping, it is not huge, there are some spots with protection from wind and sun. Closer to the beach there is more attractive spots, but less protected to the weather. The camping have direct access to the beach and run a banja of it's own (deck chair is charged extra). Chioggia is a comfortable 30 minute walk away. There is no traffic noise. Saturday and Sunday there is a loud beach party at a nearby club, ending at midnight (free entrance). Main attraction for our kids is the playground at the beach, apart from beach itself. To us the main attraction is to have things within good range, at the same time a quiet spot.”

“The staff (aspecialy the older lady and the other lady) at the reception is just an imbaresment to the service industry Ignorant and arrogant . The older lady was bitter and you could see the she was drowning some sort of satisfaction from not letting us leave the facility even though she could have .. Hur excuse was that there is a brake between 13-15 o'clock but she was at the reception working and every other business two so our plans got cancelled just because of a grumpy woman ho could have but didn't let us out It really felt awful and I hope she will be replaced And I will definitely not plan to come back here”

“Good value camping on a busy beach stretch, we stayed for a week and would happily return. Advantages: + Swimming pool (10:00-13:00 and 15:00-19:00) clean and good for kids + Direct access to the beach + Well-shaded pitches, practically all + Excellent eatery on site with friendly staff (why so many people complain in other reviews I truly don't understand?). Fresh-baked croissants in the morning and very good pizza, fresh seafood. + All gates shut 23:00-7:00 with staff inspections to remind any people forgetting to adhere to night curfew + Excellent sanitary facilities DESIGNED FOR kids (baby bath, kids shower, kids toilets, etc.). I haven't seen anything like that even in Scandinavia. Can be improved: - Very dry pitches, mostly sand rather than grass. Possibly due to the fact that we visited during / just after the most severe draught in history. - Shop is poorly stocked. Not a big problem as shop on the nearest camping is just 100 metres away and offers excellent choice, but loosing an opportunity to keep guests spend on site - Siesta break on the reception and swimming pool from 13:00-15:00 is a small nuance. Main camping gate is closed shut, you cannot drive in or out in those hours, nor use the pool. Perhaps it's an Italian camping custom, but its hard to notice any noise change 13:00-15:00, children play as normal. This gate firm shut just complicates life.”

“Amazing location to see all the sights of the south of the lake. The owner and reception staff are so kind and friendly, they really made our stay amazing. The cottage that we stayed in was modern, clean and very big for three people with good kitchen. Highly recommended!”

“What an amazing campsite! The staff were friendly and helpful, and all seemed to speak whatever language was needed at the time. The pitches are great - well marked by beautiful olive trees (which also provide lovely shade to retreat under) The pitches appear a little tight at first, but we got a 17’ caravan, awning & car all on our pitch with no problem. The toilet blocks are something else. Genuinely unbelievable. Beyond amazing. Best toilet & shower block on any campsite I’ve ever been on. Modern, light, clean and plenty of facilities. Now, the best parts: the view, and the access to the lake. Access to the lake via a private tunnel under the road. Need I say more? And the view... wow. Right across the lake to the towns on the opposite side. The only dilemma is working out if the view is better at night, when the towns are lit up, or during the day...”

“They insisted on keeping our ID cards for the duration of our stay. I don't think it's legal. They can make a copy, copy the data, but confiscate your identity document? Unbelievable, this has not happened to us anywhere else in Italy.”

“Here is still camped!!! After we have visited several camping site where the neighbors had no desire to interact, we were warmly welcomed on this site by the old-established campers. For one night you can usually find a place here without any problems. The staff is super nice and helpful. The sanitary facilities are very basic but adequate. The best thing is the location. Directly on the water and walking distance to the old town of Bardolino. P.S.: Frank if you read this, the ice cream at Cristallo is the best!!! 3 nights 139€ (1 tent, 1 car, 2 persons) the”

Via F. Baracca, 53, 30013 Cavallino-Treporti VE, Italy

“Both hilarious and pathetic experience overall. Threatening to call the Carabinieri for nonsense reasons by the “night guard”. After which, we tried to get some info from the man of the hour about unrelated subjects. Without answering us, he is calling the owner in the middle of the night. Few minutes later both the security dude and the owner show up. Turns out Il Capo is already calling the comissario for some reason. During the call he is dramatically spelling out our license plate numbers while we are getting ready to sleep, saying that they are on their way. Fair enough. Obviously after the fake Bollywood phone call nobody came and we left in the morning. About the site, the sanitary facilities are dreadful. Though what is more annoying is the lack of pavement connecting the camping spots and the communal shower/toilets. After taking a shower or washing your feet after the beach, it gets sandy as soon as you are done cleaning them. Also, another heads up for mosquitoes and ants. Be prepared for having personal documents withheld until the end of the your stay. However, props to the day shift staff.✌️”
