“We stayed here in the low season, in early June 2023. This is a lovely campsite. It is well run and efficient. The manager/owner lives on site with his family, is always present and available, and encourages feedback good or bad. The reception staff are very friendly, the pitches are a good size and many are shaded if you want this. The shower and toilet blocks are adequate but not luxurious, and there is a little bar and restaurant. There is bike hire and, I think, canoe hire with launching on the river across the road. The site is well positioned and quiet. There is a very nice sheltered, heated swimming pool which has recently been refurbished, and a jacuzzi added. There are many good quality sun loungers, chairs, and parasols, and a small fenced off child play area incorporated. The pool is probably the highlight of this campsite. Takeaway pizzas are available on some nights and the restaurant was open many nights even in early season. Bread can be ordered from reception the day before. We have been coming here for many years and believe that the new owners have put many improvements in place, which are welcome.”

“We were disappointed by this site. Our plot size was fine with lovely sub tropical plants giving privacy from adjoing plots but enclosed by a canopy of high trees. The weather had been very wet on and off and overcast which made the plot very dark. Our main problem was with the sanitary facilities. No toilet paper, no hand wash nor hand driers. The block was also open to the elements so no heating which did not make showering pleasant. The restaurant was not owned by the site and it appeared was open to non residents . Some nights the noise was much too loud and went on much too late. The staff were very nice and helpful directing us to bike tracks which were excellent. The swimming pool was well maintained with nice loungers and an opportunity to enjoy some open space when rhe weather allowed. There were a couple of showers there that were heated and pleasant to use.”

“This is a beautiful campsite in a stunning location. If you’re lucky enough to book a riverside pitch you have unspoilt views of the river and access for paddling. If you book a riverside pitch, make sure to ask for a pitch between 80-111 as the others are not really riverside. However all pitches were large and flat. The facilities are also quite modern and clean. The staff are friendly and the pools were warm and well maintained. I’d definitely return.”
