“A wonderful, quiet, well-kept oasis in the countryside, in total contrast to the awful site we stayed in the previous night. If mini-golf, tennis, fishing, kids playgrounds and a bar sound like your idea of hell (like they’re my idea of hell), don’t worry! They may all be there at Camping L’Escale but they’re quiet and unobtrusive. The lady at reception was perfectly lovely and the facilities quiet, clean and plentiful. We really lucked out here. “The camping location is amazing, just a few minutes walk from the beach and the management is very nice, friendly and accommodating. We had a camping spot which had a tiny view of the sea (T10,T11) and could hear the waves during the night. They also have a reasonably priced grocery store basic amenities, in case you’ve forgotten to take 1 or 2 items. The bathrooms are toilets are old, although well maintained. It is also a commercial camping site, so there were lots of people around, so not the location if you are looking for something secluded with lesser people. We had a great time overall and would recommend it!”

“If this is a 4 star camping - then someone had either been tipped off or don’t know anything about camping. Sanitary buildings outdated, pay to shower, and don’t forget to bring your own toilet paper. Our caravan pitch was ok, but 1,5 km from the beach. This seems to be a village divided in two. For us close to the entrance, far from the beach, there is little to be excited about. 2 stars would be a better rating, camping-wise. Maybe better for those renting mobile homes by the beach, I don’t know.”

“Camp site as a whole was very pleasant. If you a staying in a tent make sure you are no where near reception as the road at the entrance is very noisy due to poor road surface. Also the bin man arrives at 7am the gas bottle man at about 7.30am and they couldn't make any more noise if they tried. Dont forget to bring toilet roll as there is none in the toilets.
