“The accommodation itself (donger) was pretty basic for the price. The room was boiling hot on entering and there was no soap, teabags or milk in the room. The tavern itself was well done, very quirky, along with the toilets and camp kitchen. Pool in need of repair, but otherwise clean and usable. Meals at the tavern were OK and a reasonable price. “Manbulloo has been one of our bucket list places for our previous trips but has always been full. This time we got in and loved the place. It is far enough out of Katherine to not hear the noise yet close enough for a quick trip for shopping tours etc. Fuel was relatively cheap for the location and the staff could organise tours with local tour operators readily. The facilities are old fashioned but renovations have certainly spruced them up somewhat. With all the guests they have had the grass areas are really struggling but the grounds are well maintained.”

“Great place to spend a few nights. We had a caravan site so can't speak to the cabins. The amenities are very clean and easily accessible from anywhere in grounds. The older blocks are by the camp kitchen with the newer ones close to reception. The camp kitchen has all sorts of appliances available including a older hot plate cook top. BBQs throughout the park. There is a large pool as well. Laundry facilities are available at each amenity block and they have a washer that takes card for $5/load. Everywhere was very clean. The staff here are excellent, friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They suggested various places to check out. You can't really walk anywhere from here but it's very quiet at night so it's a trade off. The only issue we had was the next site parking their Ute blocking ours on on our site, we had to continuously ask them to move it. Not the parks fault.”

It was a time of chaos and they cared for us, going above and beyond to share food, accommodate our dog and make sure we were looked after. It is a peaceful place with a beautiful lookout walk and we look back on the time with fondness. Buy supplies on your way snd stay here for a few nights off the grid.”

One of the most impressive things is the fantastic pool and surrounds. So nice with many lounges and grassy areas. Beautifully lit up at night. The place is pet friendly although it is highly recommended that you keep your pooches on a leash and don't let them near the creek behind the rest stop as it has fresh water Crocs and they've just recently taken 2 unrestrained dogs. Keep your van well out from under the trees as they are absolutely full of Bats. They do have a car / van wash off area if you happen to be popped on through the night. It has a little restaurant next to the pub which served good meals at reasonable prices. Fuel prices were reasonable for where they are. Staff was friendly.”
