Steps to it are unsafe, everything is in a different block (wc and showers far apart), and it's so depressing and dark inside. But there is a restaurant/bar and plenty to do for kids. The sand beach is pretty and very long, but mind the green algues”

After years of long drives to and from the ferry port we have now found a great alternative. 10 minutes from the ferry and a super campsite. Large pitches and immaculately clean facilities. There are swimming pools but, this time, we were too late in the season. The nearby, 100m, restaurant is an absolute bonus. We will be back !!”

Note that the play area for children is limited, and only really suitable for up to 4 years of age, nothing for older age group. As a result, the whole site is very quiet (mid June).”

They do a great job of keeping the older blocks and toilets clean, but the toilet block could do with updating. The welcome pack would be better if it included the times that the various camp amenities were open and closed. But a great stay and would visit again.”

“We stay here most years, generally for 3 nights as it has great access to take the dog to the vets before using the ferry. This year we spent 3 weeks as we wanted easy access for boat launching. The campsite is by the sea, separated from the beach by a quiet road. There are beautiful views from the site and the surrounding area of St Pol de Leon has lovely dog walks, plenty of swimming spots and is very well situated for supermarkets restaurants etc. It is only a 5 minute cycle into town. The site is small, spotlessly clean and run by the lovely Edouard and Valerie. They speak good English and are very helpful. The plots are flat and separated by hedges with a choice of sunny or shady spots. The reception closes for 2 hours at lunchtime and the facilities close for 3 hours for cleaning. There is a lovely small swimming pool and comfy sun loungers. September is the tail end of the season so the on-site snack bar has variable opening hours but these times are always clearly communicated in advance on the board outside of reception and with 4 cafe/restaurants within 5 mins walk it’s really not a problem that it is not always open. We love the sites quiet simplicity and friendly atmosphere; we will keep returning!”

This campsite deserves the five stars it gets , it is superbly landscaped, almost like being in a botanical garden. Beautiful family campsite, 250m from beach. Located in village centre. Lovely indoor pool. Site with many flowers, awarded campsite with most beautiful planting in France. Supermarket open when the campsite is. Restaurant. Excellent toilet facilities, sauna, hamam and beauty salon. Worth a return visit with some excellent walking and beaches in the area. We were there early September and it was very quiet but I imagine the area is thronged in summer.”

“A truly wonderful place. We stayed 5 nights in the end after originally planning on 3. Beach 50m from our pitch (no. 19 - don't forget your chocks) An amazing view and so peaceful.
