“Arrived just 30 mins early and was abruptly turned away by quite a rude lady. Great location but would not return. Most if not all pitches are under trees which meant the flies were unbearable. And the pigeons happily shower your awning with berry coloured poop which leaves immovable stains. But bigger problem is that all but 2 of the pitches had little grass growth so, when it rains, the pitches turn into mud baths. We left a day early without refund as we'd had enough. A poor site trading on its fab location next to Saint Cirq-Lapopie. My tip is to stay on the plentiful Aires pitches next door, some right on the river bank itself, for just €12 for 24hrs. Better pitches, better views.”

“The location of this campsite by the Dordogne river and close to the town is great. There is a nice pool and children's play area and the restaurant serves good food and drinks and is very well priced. The pitches are spacious and there is a choice of sun or shade. The sanitary blocks are clean but only lukewarm water to the dish washing sinks. The temperature of water to showers was OK. My negatives are the pitches have very long grass and some look very neglected. There are a couple of fresh water points apparently but we couldn't find them and we obtained our fresh water from the sinks in the sanitary block. There are no dedicated sinks for washing your hands only sinks for doing dishes but my biggest problem is the disposal of waste water and emptying chemical toilet. There is an aire type disposal point and the WC drain is not clearly indicated so consequently toilet waste is being thrown down the grey waste drain and toilet paper remains on the drain grille. The fresh water tap is very close to the drain and I would not use it. Apparently there is a hose pipe for fresh water by the workman's shed but it was not clearly sign posted and covered by a tarpaulin when we were visiting . These problems were highlighted 11 months ago and also in 2018 but have not been rectified. I think it would be quite easy to install some fresh water points on the outside of the sanitary blocks and would greatly improve the hygiene. OK of a short stop over but I would not return”

“We booked a mobile home on a quiet place for our 2 months old baby and 2 year old toddler. The reviews looked very good but the camping is taken over in 2022 and has new owners who like to make loud parties outside for the villagers. All the families with babies are positioned opposite of the bar. Tuesday night the music was very loud and our little children woke up several times from the noise and screams in the microphone. I went to ask kindly for a lower volume at 23:15 at night. They also promised to shut the music off at 23:00. The next day I thanked them but that evening (couscous night?) there was after some live music again french reggeaton, arabic music and 90s disco. This time the music was even louder! At 23:00 still cars from the village came to drink and party. For me it was clear that they wanted to make a statement. My wife went to the bar to ask for a lower volume at 23:40 and they started screaming at her. The husband of the owners even got mad and physically intimidated her and shouted at her. They didn’t turn down the music. We felt threatened and decided to leave with our family right away the next morning although we paid for a day longer. The next two evenings there would again be music. Avoid the camping if you like a quiet holiday. This is not a family camping and not run by decent people. Better go to Camping du Lac in Grolejac (Near Domme). Then you can even swim in the lake and it has a nice beach. The lake in front of the camping is not for swimming and is filled with waterplants untill the surface.”
