The Links, Dornoch IV25 3LX, United Kingdom

“This camp site is in a great location. The owners and staff are all helpful and friendly. It is a case of drive around and pick your own motorhome space but there are plenty to choose from. The facilities and park are clean and tidy and dogs are welcome on site. It's a short walk across some dunes to get to the beach so they can have a good run around. It's also walkable into town where there are eateries and shops.”

Linnhe Lochside Holidays
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Corpach, Fort William PH33 7NL, United Kingdom

“New to the world of campervaning and wanted to test my new toy. Picked linnhe Lochside holidays as not many places open at this time of year. It was a great trip, staff really friendly, facilities very good and an excellent view close to the water. I loved it and will definitely be back in the warmer weather if not before.”

Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe
4.4
( 16 reviews )

Carbost, Isle of Skye IV47 8TA, United Kingdom

“This is a review for the café (not the campsite). This was a lovely and unexpected find on a secluded and remote beach. There is really good coffee and tea and a great selection of cakes, pastries and vegetarian pasties and the cafe feels really welcoming and friendly. The shop is mainly aimed at people using the campsite, but it's still worth having a browse. If you've just visited the water falls (about 4 miles up the road) or have driven down to walk on the beach this cafe is definitely recommended. It's also dog friendly.”

Broomfield Holiday Park
4.2
( 8 reviews )

West Ln, Ullapool IV26 2UT, United Kingdom

“Great campsite. Good facilities little dated but all we needed was a warm shower. Extremely stunning views great spot. If you plan on a water front pitch prepare for an extra £20 deposit of a cable protector to go across the sites road to the hook up point. We stayed and luckily enough the northern lights we able to view in the middle of the night. Easy and short walk into town and hikes. Make sure you visit the seafood shack for dinner & cult for breakfast. These were both the highlight meals on our NC500 trip. Loved our stop at Ullapool one of our favourite stops”

Kinlochewe Caravan And Motorhome Club Campsite
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Kinlochewe, Achnasheen IV22 2PA, United Kingdom

“Excellent campsite! Great reception on arrival and we were told to 'pick a pitch' which was refreshing. Great facilites, extremely clean and tidy. I had asked if there was anywhere I could buy a map of Scotland - the gent who checked us in, gave me an old one that he wasn't using anymore. Really useful as we plotted our way round the NC500. Would highly recommend this site and wouldn't hesitate to return”

The Dundonnell Hotel
4.1
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

Garve IV23 2QR, United Kingdom

“Dundonnell is a beautiful place. The staff appeared a little vexed with the contrary tourists that were resident at the hotel who were making unreasonable demands, so I felt sorry for them. They remained professional throughout which was impressive, and were friendly. The food however was terrible. I'm really confused by these positive reviews. I paid £15 for a petrol station burger with some extremely salty fries and a few onion rings. The bun was stale, the meat was thin, and it was slimy and overcooked like it was done in the microwave - hence petrol station burger. I can get the same quality burger in a shell station for £1.50. It aggravates me not that the food was cheap and frozen, but more that they charge exorbitant prices for that cheap, frozen, microwavable, zero effort food. I felt that I'd been scammed. Happened to see the 14 year old chef walk over the road on our way out too - not surprising.”
