“Service department is amazing! 10/10. I was driving home from Des Moines, IA to Little Rock, Ar and during that winter storm my windshield wipers stopped working. Horrible timing, however after roadside assistance towed me there, they were able to fix the issue quickly and get me on my way in 15 minutes. The staff were super friendly and helpful. If I didn’t live so far away, I’d buy my next Hyundai from them. If their service department was this friendly and helpful, the rest of the dealership should be just as great! “Usually a pretty good experience being I’ve bought from here before. We test drove a used Tiguan on a Thursday, the car had low tire pressure issue on the dash and we were told they’d look into it before we bought it. Well we bought the car on Saturday and the tire pressure notification was still there but tires looked fine. Sunday afternoon the rear passenger tire was a little low and I found a large screw in it. Pretty clear they never looked at the issue and sales manager shut down them replacing the tire since it was too close to the sidewall to patch. Can confirm with the salesman the tire pressure issue was there when we drove so this wasn’t something we did. But they don’t want to make it right. Salesman was great, but the rest lost a future sale of a new Kia in a year.”

“I called around several places looking for a quote on a CAT code being thrown by my check engine light. I had quotes all over the board from repair shops all over Springfield. I decided to give A-1 a shot because they seemed to shoot me straight for all the questions I had. I ended up getting an oil change, which was the standard going rate compared to everywhere else in Springfield. I also had them change out my rear brake pads and rotors. I was hoping to keep my rotors and have them turned down but they advised against it, which I understand. The brake job seemed a smidge high but I didn't want to run my truck to multiple places. And they offer a 3-year/36K mile warranty. Kevin was super friendly and they fellas were able to get all my repairs done in the same day! Truck is running great! I'll be using these guys for a tune-up on my truck in the near future. I'll also be bringing back my wife's Explorer for a 60K mile service, too. Highly recommend these guys.”

I also had a State inspection performed so can see another $30 or so. When I picked my truck up the bill was over $1400. I did not have time to address it with the service writer because I needed to get to a meeting. Please address my question of why the extra cost. Nothing was explained when I picked up my truck Thank you”

“Best dealer experience ever! You will pay a premium, but they do all the screening process for you. They only deal with the nicest pre emissions diesel trucks in the country. Any truck on the lot is in absolute pristine condition. I had been looking for a clean dually LBZ Duramax for about a year. I had loosely been following Gateway Car Connection via postings I had seen listed on auto trader when my dream truck came up. I called the office, and Anthony gave me all the info on the truck and answered a lot of other questions I had about it. He sent me detailed photos of the undercarriage and any slight exterior imperfections he could find. Naturally cautious about purchasing sight unseen, I had plans to come pick the truck up myself 1000 miles one way. Anthony was able to arrange shipping for the truck for less than the cost of making the trip myself. After reading nothing but great reviews, I agreed to have it shipped. Shipped to my door and unloaded: Wow, what a beautiful truck. I can't believe it was 16 years old. Still smells new inside, absolutely stunning. Once I started towing with the truck, I had some significant issues that only happened towing up a hill and could never have been diagnosed at a dealership in a flat area. Nevertheless, Anthony went WAY out of his way to help make the necessary repairs to the truck. Seriously amazing dealership integrity. I will buy my next truck from them if the day ever comes. 18 months and 10k miles later. The truck is still going strong”

I had to contact the service department multiple times to attempt to find out what was happening with the vehicle. No call was initiated by them until fulfilling the oil change request. I still have no idea what they actually did with my vehicle as I got no explanation other than something electrical. No paperwork, nothing. Poorest customer service experience ever. For someone who lives two hours away just wanting a little bit of information on the status of their vehicle, I got the absolute bottom of the barrel minimum.”
