“Absolutely incredible experience! My party of 9 (7 adults, 2 children) were seated with plenty of space in the back room. Ellen (the white Jamaican lol) was our server and she was fantastic! She made dish suggestions, checked on us regularly, taught the kids some Jamaican phrases while dancing with them beside the table & was full of energy. The food was incredible! I cannot handle spice AT ALL & ordered the curry goat. It was perfect! Not spicy at all yet full of flavour and spices. They can make it spicy for those who wish! We all enjoyed a slice of key lime pie after dinner which also was amazing. Eddy (the owner) came around frequently with a big smile on his face & let us know that if everyone finished their vegetables- we would be treated with a homemade cherry (rum?) shot. We all finished our vegetables! And that shot was SOOOOO SMOOTH!!! It was made with organic cherries so only half as bad 😂 The kids got a complimentary popsicle after dinner. There were two young teenagers working there aswell (Ellen’s kids?) and they would make sure our waters were full at all times. Final thoughts… The food was the most delicious and authentic Jamaican food that you will experience in Saskatoon. The employees make you feel at home and part of the family. And the decor is so neat! Everyone had the most amazing time and we all LOVED not only the meal but the whole experience in itself. Will 100% be back & highly recommend The Konga Cafe to anyone of any age, race, ethnicity, gender etc. Everyone will feel welcome here.”

“Loved our experience at Palme! A group of friends were looking for a spot during MONTREAL PRIDE when the Village was very busy and all patios were packed. We found Palme and the staff were so friendly even though it was extraordinarily busy. We loved all the cocktails and the food. I especially loved the green papaya salad and the cod fritters. The decor is charming, the staff is lovely, the music and ambiance kept us there for a much longer time than we had planned - will definitely return on a non-pride day!”

The days when you count on a good meal here at a fair price are done. Anytime you’re buying Costco Kirkland water (40 for $3.99) and selling for 13x markup, it’s shameless.”

“Very nice little quaint spot. Servers were friendly, food was absolutely amazing. It was out of the ordinary for sure. Worth the prices. We took all the tapas + the gnocchi plate with octopus on top and this plate was our favorite by far, one of the best dish I have ever tasted. The bottle to make our own punch was a great addition also. I do recommend and will be back. Also have a nice view of the quartier des spectacles”

“I really wanted a mofongo and as soon as we step in we were greeting, very nice, everything clean. Great service and team work. Drink were great is hard to fine good mojitos and with my favorite flavor, passion fruit. Food was awesome! The fried cheese with the guava sauce was spectacular and the mofongo stuffed with seafood mixed was great. Everything I wanted and was looking for. The amount of serving is good. Definitely recommended and can't wait to go back. I gave a good review last year but I am not sure what happened in a year. I wanted to go for my birthday weekend we got there at 7:37 and they said it was already closed. In the internet it says they close at 8pm they didn't even want to do take out. So I tried again and went back. Anything that I ordered to drink it was a no we don't have it; no margarita, no mojito, no piña coloda so we ended up having coke. Food was good a slitly salty the sauce. The fried cheese was oversized too Huge and the inside wasn't well cooked and was fried in a oil that I could taste "carne frita". The waitress forgot the corn stick and I ask to not bring it no more and she said if they were cook she was bringing them like it was supposed to be appetizer. We ask for desserts and she said they did not have no desserts. If is someone they know and see and are budys they get treated better.”

“My son really wanted Roti. Usually we head west but today (11/18/2023), we decided - let’s try somewhere new & on the east end, still a-ways from where we live. I read prior reviews like most & decided-this! is the chosen one 🤭 Here is my take: 1/ good idea to order ahead & pick up - was not super busy but we ordered when we got there, took 20 mins. We didn’t mind since we weren’t strapped for time. 2/ Service was ok. Wasn’t a rude experience, but wasn’t super friendly - just “order taking”. 3/ ordered the boneless chicken roti (dal..not paratha) - not a fan of white meat & the curry sauce was not as saucy - however, still pretty yummy! Next time. It’s bone-in cuz I’m sure it would be a tad better. My son liked his. “To each its’ own” 4/ Doubles with tamarind sauce (hot sauce on the side) cuz my kids can’t take heat - was really yummy!! I should’ve ordered more. Always next time (no specials - like buy 5 get 6th free-boooo) 5/ hot sauce (on the side) - is spicy! I loved it. 6/ the size of the chicken roti is - to me - huge! It’s definitely shareable! (See my pics) 7/ ordered a jerk chicken w rice & peas - I would prefer a Jamaican place for that - it’s not bad - just - something missing. I took a couple of bites & was just too full from half a chicken roti & a double 🤭. 8/ if u like tamarind sauce - ask for extra. 9/ u can also register & sign up for points??!!? I didn’t know & got lazy. 10/ I would recommend but order ahead 👍✌️”

We ordered the lunch special chilli chicken and chicken chow mein, they were okay, not something we would come back for. We also ordered a double which was the highlight of the entire meal as it came out crispy and hot. If we were to come again it would be to grab a double for a snack.”
