“Not impressed with the furniture and layout of the restaurant. Pleasing to my eyes were artwork that adorned the walls which speaks to the Haitian struggle and culture. We sat at bar and was warmly welcomed by bartender Romeo. Not happy that I had to wait until brunch ended to order Soup Joumou. In my humble opinion, soup should be available all day and everyday. Kudos to the chef for accommodating my request by adding goat meat to my soup Joumou. The goat meat needed to be more tender; other than the soup was flavorful. We also tried the crab cakes which were totally delicious. The menu appeals to me and will definitely be back for dinner. If you can hold a note, go there on Wednesday night for Karaoke.”

“They give you only half the portion and charge you full price. I have tried this place at least 3 different times and it was a huge disappointment every time. The women there have a serious attitude and when questioned about portion they play it off like this is everyone that does this. No it’s not. Just because I’m from the Bronx doesn’t mean I don’t know what portion size is or that I’m considerably over charged for food. This is a NO for me. Close this place down and get a better restaurant.”

“So good !!! The food is absolutely delicious! I had the red beans rice with chicken and sweet plantains. The chicken was fall off the bone yummy. The rice is so good even though it’s basic white rice. In addition, I got the fish with black beans and rice. The flan was perfection for dessert! Great iced-tea and other drinks like passion fruit and lemonade with Spanish soft drinks are also offered.”

“I order from CB all the time spent lots of money with then for catering. I ordered a small stew peas and was told you get 3 piece a meat, pig tail whatever. You know pigtail small. Now you tell me if that sound right? I ordered curry chicken a small platter for an event. They did it last minute, but well slap dash, didn't even bother to chop up the chicken for $75. When we own businesses we must do better. Not 1 slice a bread with the fish. Just don't too successful to maintain good customer service. The jerk pork is good.”

“Before I ordered on door dash, I called them and said that it’s not giving me the option to select chicken breast. The person on the phone said place the order and call back. I called back ordered the white meat and gravy on the rice. The order comes it has gravy on the rice but dark meat. When I called back I explained to the person on the phone what had happened and she said I would have to pay extra. Mind you I order this all the time and never pay extra. The money was not the problem, the guy the answered the first time should have said so instead of insuring me that my order will be correct. Then she said she couldn’t take it back. They lost a good one. I order a least 3 to 4 times a week”

“The food is always good here. I had churrasco with mash potatos and don’t forget the chimmichuri sauce on the side. I also love the plaintain chips that they serve as an appetizer when you order and entree. The jugo de chinola was pretty good but had to water it down because it is very sweet. We also ordered a morir soñando which was perfectly delicious. The pricing here is pretty good for how much food you get.”

“The food was incredibly good. This spot was recommended by a Senegalese friend. We asked the cashier (who doubles as the waitress too) what dishes she would recommend and she didn't miss. The ginger juice is definitely worth having. It got very noisy as more patrons came in and I wish they can try to watch this part because it can be slightly annoying when you can't hear the person you are dining with.”

We had the Curry crab tostones, seafood roti, sampler, spicy shrimp, coconut rice, codfish fritters, and pumpkin corn soup between two visits, had to come back it was so good! “I had always passed the restaurant but never stopped as I was thinking over thick, slice hero bread with tons of meat stuffed inside, I saw a sign that said Empanadas so I went in and realized I was completely wrong about this restaurant. Ox tails, bake chicken,salads, salmon, and so many other delicious looking meals and did I mention that I love flan and yes they sell that also I can't believe I had misjudged this restaurant for so many years but not anymore. Today, I picked up 3 empernadas, which was good but better with some hot sauce to enhance my taste. I would definitely be back to this Cuban home cooking restaurant. Please go and see what's inside. Don't be like me and misjudg this restaurant for so many years.”

“This is my third time at Patrick's and they did not disappoint. We had a birthday celebration last night and the food was top notch from appetizers to entrees. I recommend the crab cakes. They melted in my mouth. Kudos to the chef last night. The server was pleasant and just the right amount of interaction. The vibe was awesome and we loved the Happy Birthday presentation. Patrick's is the local neighborhood secret.”
