“The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, warm bread and juicy chicken. The service was fantastic, even sitting at the bar. I liked the quaint armosphere of the place, and, even though it was crowded, it still felt comfortable. A good higher-end establishment crowd.”

“One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in my 18 years in Austin. Went for our anniversary, and were immediately served complimentary champagne. We had the ceviche, mojo fish, curry wagyu, roti, and sweet plantains. Took a black cake to go. Everything was mouth-watering good. The chef came by and chatted with us for a few minutes which was the cherry on top. We’ll be back!!! The music was a vibe, too.”

“I visited Trez Wine Bar on the recommendation of a friend who joined me for the evening. It was my first time at this establishment, and my friend had praised the ambiance. Upon arrival, the place was dimly lit, and a DJ was playing music, setting the mood. My friend had already ordered gumbo before my arrival, and we decided to take advantage of their happy hour specials. I opted for the Brussels sprouts and a side salad, ordering two servings of each, all of which turned out to be delicious. I chose not to have any meat in my order. While the gumbo was good, it's worth noting that they don't include pork in their recipe. The owner, who also served as our bartender and hostess, came to take our order. However, the DJ's loud music made it difficult for us to hear each other. I have some hearing impairment on my right side, and my friend was seated on my right, making it a challenge to carry on a conversation. We politely asked the owner if we could move away from the speakers to reduce the noise, but unfortunately, it didn't make much of a difference. The restaurant had reserved plaques on some tables, but they remained unoccupied throughout our two-hour stay. Despite the excessive music volume, I did appreciate the music selection. The small size of the venue amplified the loudness of the music, which was my only major concern. Nevertheless, I would consider returning to Trez Wine Bar, although I was slightly irked by the automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, which seems to be a common practice in Houston. It would be helpful if they informed customers about this upfront to avoid double-tipping. Nonetheless, the brussels sprouts and salad were so delightful that I'm looking forward to another visit.”

La Garita Grocery And Cafe

“This is classic home cooking Puerto Rican style. Fresh and flavorful, it’s all the classic Puerto Rican flavors made daily. It’s a pearl because San Antonio is known for its Mexican cuisine. This is not a fancy place but a grocery store with home cooking. Fairly priced and generous portions. No complaints and will be visiting weekly.”

“I'll start off by saying ours was a large group. The wait was horrible. While the drinks and apps didn't appear to take too long, the main course took forever. They were smart to bring the kids' food first, but they took so long to get the rest out, the kids were done and already aching to leave bc of the boredom. When food started coming, the dishes were brought to the table so far apart in time that some people in the party had completely consumed their main course before others even got theirs. I had a bit of the skirt steak and it was ok, mushrooms in the sauce are from a can, not fresh. The octopus was really bad, it was hard, I did not finish it. Do NOT order the octopus. Stuffed mofongo was dry. The only folks who seemed to be ok with their food were the ones who got stuffed chicken. Based on the time it took for us to get our food, we thought we would order ice cream for the kids early. Don't know what happened to it, but others got their desserts (which were ordered later) first. Absolutely no control or reason in this delivery. We had also ordered some coffee and it was taking so long that we ended up cancelling the order. Couldn't get out of there fast enough once we were able to. Never again.”

“I had an incredible dining experience at this black-owned restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting and cozy. The menu offered an array of mouthwatering dishes that satisfied every craving. What truly elevated my visit was the impeccable service provided by the waiter. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was top-notch”

Flavours Beach Bar And Restaurant

FM7G+VX3, Main Road, Runaway Bay, Jamaica

“The beach is nice. The restaurant plays music, but you can't hear it on the beach. So bring your speaker if you want to create a little vibe. There's seating to watch the beautiful sunsets and some ppl selling trinkets and drinks. The restaurant has decent food and service. There's two sides to the beach. The side to the right of the parking doesn't have much shore, but to the left (pass the restaurant), there's ample space to set up your chair/beach mats. It's a free beach, so there's some garbage, but it's decent enough to enjoy yourself.”

“When I say no frills attached, I mean it. This restaurant you visit for the original, amazing and unique home cooked taste of Nigerian and West African food. That's it. Service was what it was, but very friendly. The food speaks for itself, from the 1st taste to the last bite.”
