“This was the BEST food that I’ve had all year! I’ve never had Haitian food before and now I’m hooked! I had the Fried Snapper with Black Rice and the Shrimp Plantain Cups. EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! The fish was SOO flavorful, moist, and fried to perfection! I’ve NEVER had fish cooked this good in my life! The customer service here was EXCEPTIONAL!! The really take care of their customers! Everyone was so nice, attentive and you can really tell that they appreciate their customers!”

“The food was great. The service was great. My server was great. I didn’t get any alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere was chill and nice. What I didn’t like was the pricing I feel like I was overcharged where I should’ve spent been spending $30-$35. I was charge about $41 and some change just for myself. I didn’t have any alcohol I got charged five dollars I was for a can I repeat I can of Coca-Cola for five dollars. at most restaurants soda is no more than $3.99 and then it was two different taxes on the bill. It was food tax. Plus another tax not quite sure what that text was about. I said at the bar we didn’t sit at the tables and it was like a automatically 18% gratuity including the two tax and so therefore that brought a $30 bill to a $41 bill. I just feel like they really got over on the bill part and I wasn’t feeling it and then they charge $20 just to go upstairs to dance in here music no I don’t have a problem with the cover charge but it wasn’t even 11 o’clock. We were in there before 9 o’clock and I feel like it should’ve been a $10 cover charge the dance hall open up at 10 o’clock. It wasn’t even 11 o’clock yet and they were charging $20 just to go in to the dance hall. I’ve never been to a place where you if you have to pay $20 before 11 o’clock and I never been to a place that you have to pay to get in if you are already there for the restaurant in part. I feel like all of it is just to get over. It is excessive and overpriced….especially if you sit there and you eat in a restaurant before hand.”

Flambo Caribbean/indian Restaurant - Center City

“I went with another person for restaurant week. The lunch special was $20 a person for an appetizer and entree. For both of us, it came up to $87 adding soft drinks, dessert, automatic gratuity and charge if not paying with cash. The entree is a regular lunch portion, but appetizers and dessert were surprisingly small. The spinach fritters included two, each smaller than the size of a golf ball. The server was pleasant. With so many good Indian restaurants offering the same menu selection, why pay more for less?”

“Food was Excellent! I actually drove from New Jersey for their famous Oxtail Egg Rolls but they wasn't on the menu no more... The Oxtail CheeseSteaks had an hour wait so I advise people to order on the phone or prepare to wait... It's worth it”

“Bleu Brook has become one of our fave spots in philly. I love that it’s 30 and up (might be 21 and up i can’t remember) one of those. Either way been going for a few years now and never disappointed. They can get extremely crowded and busy some days depending on the type of events happening. I’ve been for countless bday celebrations, karaoke, happy hour you name it. Food wise I’m still making my way through their menu but I’ve had the lamb chops highly recommend delicious, the seafood Mac n cheese was good but a bit too creamy and cheesy for me, salmon Cesar salad was good, fries are good, seafood platter are really good. I wasn’t a fan of the mussels or the tacos. But everything I’ve had on the menu was solid. The service depending on who you get some bartenders are friendlier than others same as with some of the servers. Live dj does a decent job. Overall highly recommend their happy hour i think they do two but either one you do definitively worth it.”

“I had the oxtails and they were delicious. Great roux, meat falls off the bone. The jerk chicken sauce was delicious little sweet with a nice kick. All the sides we had were great. Friendly service and nice set up. Outside seasonal seating. The food took a little long to come out, but was worth it coming out steaming hot.”
