“I have mixed feelings. We had breakfast on the Sat and Sunday of the same weekend. The Saturday experience was superb - food, coffee and service was terrific. They even had wonderful outside area so we were able to bring our dog. We returned on Sunday, the experience wasn't as pleasant - it was very very busy and the waitresses at one point appeared nearly over-whelmed. Although the food and coffee served was of the same standard as the day before, I was unable to select presents from their merchandise - I felt I would have been in the way. We would return. I was impressed with the birds we saw sitting outside (willy wagtails, wrens etc)”

“My friend had seen That’s Amore Cheesery on Instagram and wanted us to try it out. It’s located in Thomastown, so, if you’re in the Southeast like myself, it’s a decent hike. Apparently, they don’t accept online bookings, so we waited for around 15 minutes for a table, which gave us the opportunity to look around the amazing cheese and dips (and many other goodies) they have on offer. We started with a couple of coffees, which were fantastic. We got a cheese platter, I ordered Rigatoni with Burrata, which was on their Special Board, and my friend got Avocado on Toast. Everything was nice and the cheese platter was very generous. We did decide that, next time, we’ll have a couple of platters (cheese and deli meats), and not order mains. The service is really nice and attentive. The only issue I had was that, due to the tiled flooring outside, it gets very noisy and I was struggling to even hear my own thoughts. Next time, I’d definitely sit inside.”

“Scarborough cellar door is a must visit when in The Hunter Valley. The experience is different from other wineries. I love how you get a nice sit down tasting in this incredible room with beautiful views. You get a flight of local cheeses and a staff member who really takes the time to explain the wine you are tasting. The location of the winery is also magical! You get the best view in the valley. Also, this was the basic experience.. not even the most expensive on their menu! I also believe Scarborough makes the nicest shiraz in the region! I come to the Hunter to visit Scarborough and buy their wines!!!”

“Stopped in for morning tea today. Have been a couple of times before. Always have the nicest cheese but today we also stopped for cuppa and scones. The scones were so soft and fluffy and tasted amazing. Would definitely be back. And as usual the cheese is delicious. A definite must when in the area. Have also become addicted to their salted caramel chocolate mousse. Lucky I don’t live close enough to visit too often. A really big recommendation to try the mousse.”

Our friends chose 2 wines, and my husband had a beer. From the minute we sat down, we were treated to luxury and just fabulous service. Each of the wines tasted was beautifully described. Every single person who served us was not only very knowledgeable but also happy to chat, making us all feel really welcome.
