“Was in York for the Christmas market and was looking for somewhere to get a good burger and I saw this place mentioned on a few websites so thought we'd give it a try. Very happy that we did! From the outside it looks like a tiny place but it goes back quite far inside. I had the fancy hanks burger which was 2 patties, cheese and bacon jam. The meat itself was really juicy and tasty, and the bacon jam gave it a really good extra bacon flavour. Was in a really good soft fresh bun. Came with a good portion of really good fries as well. My wife got the cheesy spinach dip which was also really good. She doesn't like spicy food so asked the waitress if it was spicy. She said she didn't know but she would go and check. She checked and was told it wasn't (which was correct!) Lovely cheesy dip served with loads of tortillas. Although they seemed a bit overcooked. The service was really good through the whole meal and we really enjoyed our food. They did add an optional 10% on the bill (and I do understand why places do this) but we actually left a bit extra as well because the service was so good. Would highly recommend the food here and I know we'll be back in future.”

“This place has appealed to me for a while due to the fun, hearty pop culture aesthetic of it. Needless to say I was very impressed with the amazing food, chill atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff. The issues we found however were food took a while to arrive to our table, a couple items were initially not written down in our order and we were slightly charged wrong. Don’t let these issues affect your view of this great place though, since we found all of them were quickly corrected by staff who were very apologetic. Now the main thing which we loved, the food. Everything was cooked incredibly hot, juicy, tender, along with tasting deliciously seasoned. When u ask for your chicken spicy here they will listen to you. The spicy fried chicken as mentioned and non spicy chicken are greatly filling, they will give any chicken place a run for their money. in our case this time the food easily beat any other fast food of a similar genre. Alongside this the variety in sides and sauces is very tasty and perfectly crisped and seasoned. I find it great how a place like this known for American oriented food. Will have something like salt and pepper fries, which taste better than many other establishments version of it. It’s important to mention for those conscious about the spending, all the portions are very large, fairly priced and filling. You’re going to get your moneys worth whether it’s through food, (or the soothing strawberry smoothie I got). Next time you want American fast food, or just a relaxing place to chill with friends this is the place to try.”

“What can I say, the Food was on point and delicious 😋 Presentation was excellent as well as the packaging. We ordered three Spicy Chicken Burger Meals along with 8 Hot Wings The Burgers were excellent which was in a Brioche Bun and the Chicken was cooked to perfection along with the right amount of spice, salad and sauce! The wings were tender and had the right amount of seasoning and tasted great 👍🏼 Staff and service was also excellent and the shop was neat and tidy with plenty of space to sit and eat eventhough we had a takeaway. The prices were decent compared to some places I've eaten at lately therefore it was a great choice! The variety of food, desserts and drinks were plentiful so do give them a try as you won't be disappointed 😁”

“The most scrumptious Sunday dinner I've had in a long time. Free home made soup to start with and you could tell from that first mouthful that you were in for a treat. The generous portion of lamb was so tender, the mash sublime. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and overall a lovely place. Obviously popular, so you may need to book but we were very lucky that they had a cancellation. Would definitely recommend!”

“The Abington was a highlight of our visit to London. The service was impeccable and the entire staff was friendly and attentive. We had a group of 8 and selected a number of dishes and everyone raved. I had the chicken liver parfait, shared the pave steak and ended with the dark chocolate mousse. The wine list was not extensive but offered a well balanced selection from all over the world. I highly recommend”

“A humble little halal hamburger and kebab shop on the corner of Cavell St. Incredibly student friendly prices and filling meals are all you need to look for. I got number 18, the donner kebab meal fot £6.49. The fries are crisp and comparable to McDonalds. The hot wings weren't made to order, and so we're a little cold, but won't make much difference if you get it take out. The kebab was on the small side, but this was made up for by the generous portions of meat within, which is surprisingly well balanced with the cucumbers and other veges. The venue is relatively small with few seating, but most orders are to go anyways. The restaurant itself is clean and the decor is refreshingly simple, not a restaurant trying to punch above its weight, appearance-wide. Staff are friendly, approachable and professional. Nothing more, nothing less. All in all a good place to get a great bite on a rainy Sunday night.”

“Went out to Leicester to do some much needed shopping, and I stopped by at Chickanos in the city centre. The place had lots of seating with some customers already dinning in. Went to the counter and asked the person at the tills if I can see the menu, he pointed above behind him that saying that’s the entire menu. (So I believe that they don’t do menu selection in a paper/ leaflet form). Anyway I chose the Mighty Memphis as a meal deal, it came with fries that were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. 👍 And a can of Pepsi Max. Along with this I also ordered 6 grilled wings in buffalo sauce. The Mighty Memphis had many things in it as you bite into it has different textures, in which I liked. The grilled wings were juicy but I feel the wings had a different taste from your traditional Buffalo sauce, other than that I liked it!”

The chicken tenders are my favourite and I love Slim Chickens sauce, I also love the fact they have great selection with different sauces and the fries are always nice too. “Pretty overpriced for the quality. I tried the loaded fried BBQ jerk dumpling burger which cost over £10. The dumpling and chicken had clearly been reheated, not cooked to order, because they were served just a couple minutes after ordering. There were just a couple small strips of dry chicken breast dressed in far too sweet BBQ sauce; maybe the normal Jerk burger would be better.”
