“I found out about Jewels in November 2022 when I was planning my trip to Arizona and I was diagnosed with Celiac in 2017 so finding out about Jewels Cafe was the second best day of my life. The best day of my life was eating at Jewels and feeling like a normal human being at a restaurant again with no restrictions. Being able to eat with no anxiety is the best feeling ever and I’m so thankful for Jewels Cafe for offering that with spectacular food! My dad (who can eat gluten) has said their burrito was the best burrito he has had. My husband and I made a trip to Arizona in May 2023 and chose to eat at Jewels 3 out 5 days we were in town. Overall, Jewels Cafe is worth the 6-7 hour drive from New Mexico! We are forever grateful customers.”

We ordered chicken fingers with garlic Parmesan rub which was good, but after a few wings it was off and left an odd after taste. We also had the signature sweet sauce and it was great, with a bit of buffalo style heat. The skin on fries were fantastic, especially dipped in ranch. “When you drive the road to Hana you have to resist the temptation to stop at all the many roadside trucks and stands along the way. Be patient and wait for Uncle Russell's Huli Huli Chicken. Hot and juicy, and a substantial portion. We ate at provided picnic tables in a rustic setting as the waves rolled over the dramatic jagged coastline. Felt I got a full $16 worth, best lunch on Maui. A great turn around point for the journey back if you like going back the way you came. For us it was a great refueling point for the continued journey around the south side of Haleakala where the most amazing coastline awaited along with the most difficult and harrowing stretch of road. You came this far on the road to Hana, but you are about to start the really difficult part of the drive. Timed right we came to the easier part of rosd just into the beauty of the setting sun against the south Maui shoreline.⁸”
