“Frisco Fried is a staple in the bayview neighborhood. The owner and staff are natives and have a wealth of information. The lemon pepper chicken wings were really good. The other 3 people whom I was with all had the oxtails. They said the oxtails were really good. I tried the yams. The yams were delicious. We will be back. Thank you for being apart of the neighborhood and in the neighborhood.”

“Out of the few sandwich spots on Taraval, this is my favorite. Lou’s is a bit overrated to me. This spot is up the street and a little harder to find but it’s a hidden gem. The sandwich named after the shop is a gem, with sprouts balancing out a heavy dose of meat cheese and sauce. I think the flavors are spot on with savory as well as fresh with the veggies !”

“the DEFINITION of a hidden gem, truly a hole in the wall. if you read the reviews you’ll find that most of them only detract in their rating due to poor service/language barrier. but for me, the food alone easily makes up for any awkwardness or ordering difficulty. this is the best hk style wonton soup noodles ive had in the bay, perhaps maybe even california. the broth is extremely rich and savory with a strong flavor that isn’t too salty. the beef tendon is UNBELIEVABLY beefy and tender, it fills your mouth with savory goodness. the wontons have perfectly bouncy shrimp inside, and the noodle texture is perfect when it comes out. aside from this, the chicken wings are delicious, as well as the curry fish balls. service was fast (though it took effort from our end) and the food was cheap!”
