Alta Vista Botanical Gardens
4.6
( 16 reviews )

1270 Vale Terrace Dr, Vista, CA 92084, United States

“Very cool and interesting garden. My kiddos love the sculptures and the children’s section. The turtles in the ponds are a big hit with them as well! I live much closer to the San Diego botanic gardens but I prefer the more natural and laid back feel at this one. Can beat the price of $5 an adult, $3 for children.”

Western Science Center
4.5
( 16 reviews )

2345 Searl Pkwy, Hemet, CA 92543, United States

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Western Science Center in Hemet, CA, and I must say it was a truly captivating experience. The museum itself is beautifully designed and modern, with spacious galleries that showcase a remarkable collection of fossils, artifacts, and exhibits. The layout is well thought out, allowing visitors to explore at their own pace and delve into the rich history of the region. One of the highlights of my visit was the massive "Max", a perfectly preserved mastodon skeleton that dominates the main hall. It's truly awe-inspiring to stand next to such a majestic creature from the past. The level of detail and care put into the display is commendable, providing a fascinating glimpse into the world of paleontology. The Western Science Center also offers a range of interactive displays and hands-on activities for all ages. From digging for fossils in the simulated excavation site to the engaging educational programs, there's something to engage and educate everyone. It's an excellent opportunity for children and adults alike to learn about the natural history of the area in an entertaining and accessible way. The staff at the museum are knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about their work. They are always ready to answer questions, share interesting facts, and make your visit a memorable one. Their enthusiasm for the subject matter is infectious and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. Lastly, I must mention the museum's commitment to community engagement. They regularly host special events, lectures, and workshops, fostering a sense of curiosity and discovery among visitors of all backgrounds. It's wonderful to see an institution so dedicated to spreading knowledge and promoting scientific literacy. In conclusion, the Western Science Center is a hidden gem in Hemet, CA. Whether you're a science enthusiast, a history buff, or simply looking for an educational and entertaining outing, this museum won't disappoint. It's a captivating journey through time, filled with wonders that will leave you in awe. I highly recommend a visit, and I can't wait to return myself.”

395 Santa Monica Pl Suite 374 Level 3, Santa Monica, CA 90401, United States

“I’ve recommend that you buy the tickets before you go, we didn’t do that, so we had to put our names on the waiting list and waited for about 1h:30. My 2 years old son loved it, he played for about 1h:30. Tickets price are around 15 bucks.”

Children's Museum, Stockton
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

402 W Weber Ave, Stockton, CA 95203, United States

“This place was probably great 10 years ago when they first installed many of the displays. But due to a woeful lack of maintenance and any updates, it seems, over half of the exhibits are either missing key components or entirely inoperative. See pics. That they charge admission is embarrassing. With some serious effort to replace a lot of the broken stuff, this could be great again; but in the meantime, it’s barely worth the price of admission other than to get out of the rain.”

Monterey County Youth Museum

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

425 Washington St, Monterey, CA 93940, United States

“We had my son's fourth birthday party here!! The kids love it. The staff is wonderful! Couldn't recommend it more! We had the party on a Thursday. They offer a 5:30-7:30 time slot which I think is the perfect amount of time!”

Kidtopia Indoor Play Center
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:30 AM

4620 Auto Mall Pkwy, Fremont, CA 94538, United States

“This place is disgusting, there’s dust everywhere and the facility isn’t well taken care of. Super cheap management. It looks like they never update the toys, they’re all very old and so many parts are missing, therefore eliminating the amount of toys kids can play with. To top it off, they never turn on the AC or Heat. In winter it’s freezing and in summer it’s unbearably hot. They’ve also shut off their water fountains because they want you to purchase water. Horrible place. I wish there were better and more indoor playgrounds in the area!”

Legoland(r) Discovery Center Bay Area
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 10:00 AM

870 Great Mall Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035, United States

“Legoland Discovery center is a treat for Lego lovers and amusement lovers alike. Even if kids don't spend much time building stuff, they still have plenty of entertainment from lazer maze to train ride, 3D movie, soft play area in form of a pirate ship, a mini land displaying bay area made from tiny Legos by the Lego builder. It houses a cafe inside with several snack options and didn't find it too expensive. Visit to the Discovery center was fun during their brick and treat (Halloween event) where they offered kids with a gift pack to build their own Lego pumpkin, then bracelets made of Lego dots as well as tattoos and lolly pop. Would recommend. Visit to Legoland Discovery center comes free with Legoland Elite Season pass. They also have a birthday party hall.”

“A lot to see. There is are two exhibitions in the middle and then permanent collections on either side with books and artifacts. There is a lot still in boxes that they are plan to put items online. The space is used well. The sculpture garden was small and peaceful.”

Play Modesto
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

3500 Sisk Rd SUITE F2, Modesto, CA 95356, United States

“It is great until probably the age of 4. I was looking to book a party and while I understand many of the rules such as no popcorn/pinatas, not allowing banners, (tape?!)balloons, confetti and glitter seems excessive.”

Heal The Bay Aquarium
4.3
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 12:00 PM

1600 Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica, CA 90401, United States

“Nice, smaller aquarium with many hands-on displays where visitors can pet aquatic life such as sharks, sting rays, and sea stars. The aquarium is located under the Santa Monica pier—follow the ramp or stairs down to find it. Entrance is free for kids under 12 with an adult ticket, which makes it an entertaining and affordable family option. There is also a small lab, movie/craft room, and camp and volunteer activities offered at the museum. Everything is on one floor and easily walkable/reachable for small kids. Be sure to check the special events calendar on their website for activities such as shark feeding.”

No Surrender Unlimited Fresno
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

4985 E Kings Canyon Rd, Fresno, CA 93727, United States

“The layout of this place was 100% not thought out at all. They have the food court in the way back. Meaning if you want to enjoy food while your kids play your not able to watch them. They have no seats or any ability to sit an watch your kid. The trampoline area has a massive black wall again leaving areas you can’t watch your kid. The actual play area is covered by so many covers you can’t see inside unless you walk to the side (gaming area with no food no drinks no seats) to see inside. Again away from where you eat so your unable to watch them for safety reasons. We came here for the trampoline area but will not be coming back to this one cause of the lack of visibility to watch a child safely. Bathrooms clean Staff nice Need more signs for ppl who don’t know what there doing.”
