“A clean museum with nice staff. The museum has a medium amount of exhibits, but things are explained well. The science experiment hall was small. The garden area seems beautiful if visited in spring. The Berman Museum has a lot of …”

Earlyworks Children's Museum

404 Madison St SE, Huntsville, AL 35801, United States

“Pros: - Tons to do! Could easily spend hours here. - I have a 2 and 4 year old and it was perfect for that range. - lots of fun and thoughtful Christmas activities! Cons: - Although I’m sure everything was clean and well cared for, because it’s dated, I was anxious most of the trip. I don’t need everything to be new, but I was definitely overwhelmed with the amount of old toys. I was so uncomfortable when my four year old picked up multiple very old stuffed animals. The talking tree was peeling from where tons of kids had touched him and wasn’t sure he was safe to touch. - the building is also very dated, and made made me wonder about health and safety. In one room alone I could see 3 different carpet/floor patterns and that felt unsafe. - On the whole for such a modern and fast growing city, I was disappointed that the kid’s museum wasn’t more updated. Pairing down on the offering, focusing on safety and clarity of vision, and even better lighting choices could go a long way. If I lived here with things as they are right now, I would not invest in a membership.”

Surge Adventure Park
4.2
( 10 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

2506 Pepperell Pkwy, Opelika, AL 36801, United States

“This place has gone drastically downhill in the past few years. The place is disgusting, shreds of foam cubes everywhere, half of the stuff is broken, trampolines had old gum stuck to them. For $18 an hour you’d think they’d take better care. My toddler couldn’t even play in the toddler area because it was filthy covered in tiny pieces of foam. We used to love coming here years ago but it’s so disappointing now! Driving to launch in Columbus from now on!”

Eplex Magic City

( 8 reviews )

7001 Crestwood Blvd #200, Birmingham, AL 35210, United States

“Fantastic place to relax, play games, and get some good food! The staff were kind and knowledgeable. The entry to the building is easy to roll onto with a wheelchair or rollator. I highly recommend checking it out if you like video games! Note the water bottle in the photo are not included. 😂”
