“Went on a weekday for dinner. Good selection of hot pot foods and soup bases. Lots of different sauces to choose from as well, so you can make new combinations throughout your meal. Very comfortable and airy interior. The only criticism would be their dessert bar... If I remember correctly, there were only 4 items (canned peaches, deep fried buns + condensed milk, sesame balls, and sago with taro).”

“I ordered the cheeseburger combo and I was disappointed. The fries didnt have salt and did not taste fresh - they were soft despite being brown in color. The burger was ok but the patty itself didn't taste fresh either. For $18 I have to say that I’ve gotten better burgers at food trucks - how can you mess up a cheeseburger? I suppose it's not their specialty. Maybe their Asian food is better. The ambiance is a bit odd, either the Asian staff or Asian customers will stare at you like you’re from out of space.”

“A mind-blowing experience! I never thought I would like vegetarian food but here I'm writing a 5-star review for this restaurant. I always had the perception that Chinese vegetarian dishes were boring because they were all vegetables and soy products after all. Po Kong has opened my eyes to the variety in flavors that vegetarian dishes could offer. Each dish has its own distinct flavor, and the sauces that came with every deep fried dish did elevate it further. Among all the dishes I tried, I would highly recommend the marinated starters 3 kinds, the deep fried taro cake and the spinach noodles. The starters offered 3 different textures and flavors in one dish which are awesome. The deep fried taro cake was crispy outside, and smooth and rich inside. It's an absolute delicacy. The spinach noodles were very well seasoned and al dente. The bean sprouts and the enoki mushrooms also added different layers of textures. I will definitely visit again to try other dishes. From a meat lover to other meat lovers out there: Po Kong really worths a try!”

The appetizer was a delightful prelude, setting the tone for a sumptuous meal that awaited. The dessert, however, didn't quite reach the same heights. While still enjoyable, it fell slightly short in comparison to the rest of the offerings. The meringue's texture, though good, wasn't as crisp as I would anticipated. Nevertheless, it didn't overshadow the overall memorable evening.”

“One of my all time favourite spots for chili chicken. Chung Moi is a family owned restaurant with a small cozy interior. I notice there’s regulars that come often as the owners (who are there most of the time when I visit), seem to recognize them. Their menu has a variety of dishes to choose from, but I mainly only tried their chili chicken. There are 2 options to choose from - with gravy or dry. Both versions are amazing, it’s just dependent if you’re looking for more sauce. Personally I prefer the dry because usually sauce would make the chicken not as crispy, so the dry version tends to be crispier. There is a kick (even with mild spiciness), so be prepared if you’re not good with spicy food. Also be mindful the chili chicken doesn’t come with rice, so you’ll have to order it separately. “It’s very good, noodles are chewy and they are generous with the toppings! Service was very fast! The seaweed tastes a bit odd in the vegetable soup but still delicious. If you don’t say anything they default to a medium bowl, which is quite big. One constructive thing I would say is the about the stools for sitting. In winter when people have coats and bags there’s nowhere to put them and it’s a bit uncomfortable. Overall great, would come back”

Ordered a variety of skewers, two hotpots (crayfish and chicken). Very delicious, and considering the style of food, was surprisingly not too greasy. Very impressed by the flavour, as North-Eastern Chinese cuisine have a tendency to get bombed by salt and cumin when not done well. The flavours were savoury but not salty, robust without being overbearing.”
