“Best Malay food you can find in Australia, and very reasonable. We only paid $24 a head and had a full dinner, with many dishes. My favourite was the Marmite Ribs, as well as the Squid. The atmosphere is like a typical Hawker market in Malaysia, Singapore or Indonesia: so cool that they have recreated this in Perth! Enjoy!”

“How often have you walked past Mr Bun, located just past the East end of Murray Street mall? A non-pretentious and simple restaurant. It is the perfect, cheap and cheerful fix on a cold, rainy day. Parking is limited in the area. Order at the counter. Thick, in-house noodles were a lovely, springy texture. Thin noodles just as satisfying. A few pieces of frozen white fish completed the dish, although were lacking in both number and flavour. The preserved vegetables in broth made up for it. They are generous with their salt, which may be to your liking. It's a personal take although makes me wonder if the chef smokes. Serving sizes are generous to just right for a hungry adult. Service is no nonsense, help yourself and order at the counter. Could do with a water station, even if it is just a self-serve urn for tea or cold water.”

The small is large enough to have leftovers for the next 2-3 meals. You know the food is good when the sign outside is old sun faded and hasnt been touched in 20+ years. They still have the fish tank and old analog TV in the waiting area. With all the rapid changes going on in the world, Ming Dyansty remains the same Nice music at a reasonable volume over the speakers so you don't have to raise your voice to hold conversation. Excellent staff. Mee Goreng is DELICIOUS + not spicy like many places (you can request spicy). All the flavour with no bite if you cant handle traditional spicy Chinese food like me. If you dine in, they'll let you take the food home in containers if you can't eat it all in one sitting. Dine-in or takeaway. Never waited more than 15 minutes for food and the food is always hot and fresh. Also: prawn crackers!”

Mee Goreng was more like tomato sauce noodles. Lemon chicken fried rice had a strange odour with the rice. Chicken rice was overly salty and rice was not chicken rice, just plain rice. Wonton noodles had THICK Char-Siew (some may like it thick, like steak). The wonton was weird! It is like someone had just wrap the wonton skin over a meatball. 🤦‍♂️ Well don't take my word for it, try it for yourself and decide.😞”

“EMPEROR'S BBQ This is now the new name of this eatery. The owners/servers are very friendly & courteous. Ordered one whole Roast Duck & one kilo of Roast Pork to take away. Most Chinese BBQ places will give you a container of Roast Duck gravy and if you ask one container of chilli oil. The person serving asked if I needed anything else apart from the gravy to which I asked for plum sauce & chilli oil. He did not even flinch when I asked and proceeded to go get them for me, even asking one was enough. Super generous and very much customer service orientated which is quite rare. Roast Duck and Roast pork are both enjoyable! Prices are reasonable. I will be back for sure!”
