“So good so far. You get all you can eat&Drink for just under 30€. Alternatively you can order something off the menu. Only thing to be noted is that if you come with multiple people everyone has to get all you can eat or order by menu, a mixture is not possible. The food is good, you get plenty of choice and over all the quality of the food as well as the taste is really good. The restaurant is quite spacious and even when there are many guests it is not too loud or cramped. Overall a good option to get a great variety of food for a reasonable price.”

“Well-kept restaurant with a nice ambiance. The service was ok - attentive servers with good English skills but with mixed levels of experience between servers. Unfortunately, our feedback on the food was not acknowledged, and we didn't hear any response once we highlighted that the fish was overcooked/dry. The food was a mixed experience. Overall, it was okish: below expectations for such a restaurant. We had the 4 course dinner menu. - The starter with salmon was ok with some interesting flavor combinations. - The pasta with alioli was quite a disappointment: pasta was not aldente, it was too oily, and the taste was quite bland. - The lamb rack was very good: good flavors and the meat was cooked perfectly. - The fish was so dry/overcooked that we couldn't eat it, unfortunately. - The desserts were ok,but nothing memorable. The place has potential. I hope the management pays attention to the feedback they get, and they pass it along to the entire team so they can benefit from constructive feedback.”

“First of all - if you never did plan to go on a day-long wine tour through the beautiful Pfalz area in Southern Germany you should stop everything that you‘re doing right now and start your research on all the different vineyards. After visiting three wineries before lunch time we were excited to indulge in some french-mediterranean cuisine in the picturesque village of Großkarlbach. Not only was the service great throughout the whole time but the food and selection of wines was definitely Michelin Star worthy. And for just 39€ for the petit menu you get already more than you could ask for when going out for lunch. The creations of the kitchen were absolutely fabulous and tasty and our tastebuds exploded continuously because of the perfect made food. Make sure to stop by and indulge here - the fish courses were absolutely amazing!”

“Altes Haus takes you back in time from the moment you step inside! We sat in what could be described as a front reception room with a piano, and just two tables. Very intimate and gave it a nice atmosphere. We ordered a local wine and were delighted with its sweet fruity character, and it was very refreshing. The service was also very good, and friendly. For our meal we had the Pork Schnitzel, and the Meatballs in cream sauce with boiled potatoes. With this we had a medium dry local wine. Another great hit. The food was very tasty and well presented, and we greatly enjoyed it. The meatballs was particularly good. For our dessert we tried the apfel strudel with ice cream, and the chocolate cake, both served warm. The strudel had a wonderful flaky pastry, and went down really well with the vanilla ice cream. All in all it was a lovely experience in the middle of this very nice town on the banks of the Rhine, with the traditional castle on overwatch on the cliffs above (easily reached by the stairs starting by the church). A definite recommendation from us. Also as a lovely surprise the couple on the table next to us was a well travelled one from Berlin, and we had a very nice conversation with them throughout.”
