“This place is phenomenal! All the food we got was so delicious, fresh, and hot. Because this spot is popular, we did experience about a 30 min wait but the wait is absolutely worth it. Service here is incredibly fast as staff are extremely efficient. We got the beef braised noodles, pan fried pork buns, nan xiang pork soup dumplings, and the Shanghai noodles and when I say everything was a 10/10, I really mean it. “Gluten Free / Celiac / Vegan / Vegetarian / Whole-Food Plant Based (WFPB) & some of the best Italian in Hamilton and Bordentown I have a best friend that is a Celiac and a daughter that eats Gluten Free. Palermo’s is a safe and great place I can take them. They have a family member with Celiac disease, so they understand the need for NO cross-contamination. My daughter is on me about eating less meat and more vegetables, the chefs were completely accommodating to my entire family. Some wanted no eggs, some no dairy (cream/butter), some no meat. Palermo’s has a completely separate menu for Gluten Free, see the website. The best part is they can do some of their daily specials Gluten-Free, if possible. This gives my family so more variety. Below are some of our favorite items and how we order them. Chicken Scampi over Pan-Fried Potatoes: $14.95 (GF) Strips of tender chicken sautéed in a lemon garlic sauce served over pan-fried potatoes This item is Gluten-Free. But it can also be vegetarian, you can swap out the Chicken, for Artichokes. If you get the artichokes battered – which is delicious and my favorite way – then you will be eating eggs. I was eating with my daughter tonight, so we went WFPB / vegan. The Artichokes were un-battered and sauteed and the chef even went the extra step to make the sauce without the butter. It was delicious, Plus, with any calories I saved, I used them for dessert! Picture – WFPB / Vegan Un-breaded Artichokes over Pan-Fried Potatoes with no butter in the sauce. Artichoke Francaise: $14.95 (GF) Artichoke hearts, lightly fried and sautéed in lemon butter sauce This is a wonderful appetizer, and keep these artichokes in mind if you want to replace meat on another item. Or you can do what my daughter does and add firm Tofu to it when she gets this for take-out. Francaise sauce VS Scampi sauce – we love the Scampi sauce better because of the lemon, garlicy flavor. Some nights we get the Francaise sauce. Gluten-Free Gnocchi, Cheese Ravioli, Onion Pierogies, or Stuffed Shells: $22.95 Alfredo with Italian Sausage, Creamy cheese sauce with Italian sausage We ordered Gluten-Free Gnocchi, without the Italian sausage (I have had it before – the sausage is great but we are attempting to eat more plant-based meals). There is enough for 2 servings – if your children are not stealing them. We also bring the extra sauce home, it goes great on spaghetti squash the next day. POLLO BALSAMICO $19.95 – Dinner Special that we asked to be made Gluten Free (GF) Chicken breast sautéed in a balsamic cream sauce with asparagus and tomato This was made gluten free and we asked for no chicken and extra vegetables and to add some Artichokes. It was sublime. Their desserts are delicious, so save room. They have Gluten Free desserts too. Gluten-Free Eggplant Parmesan. This item is not on the menu, but they can make you a tray of it for family events, holidays, etc. My daughter has been looking for Gluten Free Eggplant Parmesan for years. I think I will order her a tray for her birthday. She will eat some – not share – and take all of the left overs home for meal prep for work. It freezes fine and this is the time of year to get it, while eggplants are fresh and in season. You have to give them some notice - like a catering order. I will let you know how it is. “The garden of this restaurant is the attracting view. The garden is open (once the staff opens it) and you can go in for the view or picture taking. Now the food is typical average, came during dinner hours. The food is very similar to other restaurants where I have been too. The food is not bad yet not surprisingly good as well. For dim sum, I have good ones so it is average as well. The service is mellow and slow. The staff that walks around is decent speed and average time taking, the thing is when asking for the bill. It does take quite some time to get the bill (for me not sure about how long others get their bill). The staffs are friendly and well mannered so far.”

“Will never be ordering from here again. I’ve ordered sushi many times with multiple people and the orders were always separate. Tonight, they mixed multiple orders all in one container, and unfortunately one of the people in the group is vegetarian and wouldn’t eat the mixed food. We called them about it and they got very combative, saying it was our fault for not stating their were food allergies, but I pointed out that I have ordered numerous times in the past and that this has never been an issue. The person I spoke to just insisted this is the way they always do things and that I was lying about things always being separate. They even went so far as to pull up my order history to see if they could prove me wrong (which of course they couldn’t do). Eventually I had to hang up because I couldn’t take being berated and belittled anymore. Most places would apologize and try to make it right, this time it was our fault (even though history was on our side) and my friend had to find dinner somewhere else. This is not a way to run a business, you don’t blame, yell at, and argue with your customers when you make an arbitrary change to the way things have been done! Not to mention that the whole place is just starting to look run down and dingy and their dumpster stinks the outside of the restaurant up like no other restaurant I’ve ever been to before. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else with staff that won’t pick an argument with you over something that they did! If I could leave negative stars I would!”

“Dao Madison was everything I had hoped it would be, and so much more!!! This is not your typical Chinese take-out. Dining here is an experience from the moment you walk through the doors. The staff is very welcoming, cheerful and accommodating to every detail. Our server was very helpful in suggesting dishes, and we felt like a part of the family having a home cooked meal. Everything we tried was prepared with a delicate-ness, finesse and great amount of detail. Every dish tasted so fresh and flavorful. Nothing was overpowering, oily or greasy. On this visit, we had hot and sour soup, soup dumplings (a must in all future visits!), scallion pancakes that were still dreaming of, the house special crispy duck, and something we never heard of, the Mala Dry Pot, which is a type of stir-fry cooking with peppers and fresh basil with pork, beef and chicken. All were outstanding!! We took home a menu, and are planning many future visits to try as many different dishes as we can! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough: you will not be disappointed and most likely will be thinking about your next visit.”

“In the matter of fact I don't like Chinese food, My coworker advised me to try Red Bowl in Waldwick branch and he was absolutely correct, I tried Cashu Checken with Wonton soup and fried rice and it one of the best meals I've ever have in my life, Now every week I have to pick up the phone and order my Chinese meal ( only $10 ask for special meals), And to be honest I've tried 2 or 3 other Chinese restaurants in New Jersey but it was not as good as Red Bowl restaurant in Waldwick, The service is great and the quality is very good but I prefer to take away and enjoy it at my lunch break or at home.
