“We went here for a valentines dinner with a few friends. Quite a unique idea to serve tapas. This is an eat as much as you can menu. There is a large selection of foodstuf and they are all good. Booking essential. The atmosphere is one of an upper class restaurant. Nice decor and seating. Noice levels are good and you can enjoy a conversation.”

“Harmsen Restaurant Café - Great Food in a Casual Atmosphere Chef Olaf Harmsen serves up a creative and well-priced menu in the Rembrandtplein area of Amsterdam. We enjoyed a three-course, prix fixe, meal (soup of the day, a pick of one of three entrees, and a dessert) for €29.50. I enjoyed the corn soup with coriander and sesame, duck with seasonal vegetables, and peach Melba for dessert. My husband and I liked it so much we returned within a week. The patio in the back is great for summer evenings. The wine list, although not extensive, is adequate for pairing - we ordered by the glass. The service was top-notch and they have Apple-pay.”

“After touring Muiderslot Castle, we stopped in for a bite to eat and to have some drinks. The restaurant has a good number of drink choices, a bunch of beers on tap, and a pretty full menu. We were seated right away (opting to sit inside since it was pretty hot the day we were here), and attended to quickly. The staff was attentive throughout our lunch, and were both friendly and knowledgeable. Our meals were all very good too. It's a bit on the pricey side, but overall, we were very happy with our experience.”

“Gezellig! When the Dutch word describes the place better than any English or Spanish... an amazing dining experience!! We had a great dinner, every step carefully planned with meals and wines combined. A huge congrats to the chefs! The waiters explained every step with what ingredients it contained and flavours. It was a delightful experience! The steps were unique, nothing like ever before! And I can not even put it into words! It's a fixed menu on the night, so the experience is complete.. only one step you can choose, but I would recommend both options! Just an experience where photos don't make it justice! The place is small, about 8 tables... so a really personal service!”

“One of the best Asian dinner that I’ve had in my life. I was suggested by the hotel were I’m staying here in Hoorn of this restaurant, as it was my first time here I took the 3 plates chef’s menu m, which let her/him creates without limitation (except if you have some allergies). And the result has been incredibly good. Lamb was delicious, fish as well together with a great dessert. 5 full stars deserved for the chef, but also location and the person who assisted me were at that level!”

But you had to wait til the waiters come to you - especially I ordered bottle of water and that took alone 30 minutes so they should look Into this Had a nice grill chicken with fries covered with Parmesan and truffle mayo. Desert was a peanut sundae - that was delicious”

The staff are nice and helpful. Parking is free. Personally, I really like to choose a dish with "Peking" duck.”

Food options are very limited during lunch.We ordered vegan dumplings as a starter and they were fabulous. The main course dishes were good too. All in all- only if they had more options and few kid friendly items I would have rated them 5stars.”
