“So unfortunate. The new staff that works at this place has huge shoes to fill. I am used to a warm welcome and a “how can we help you today? or something similar. Today the shopping experience was unpleasant. Not only there was no customer in front of me, (strangely so), but my presence was totally ignored to the point that I had to call their attention. Worse of it, then I hear, “We were having a conversation” I should have left right that second. You could tell they were not happy to be working. 2 guys that looked like they had not taken a shower in some time, plus one if them was pouring a 32oz container of water into one of the soups that was already there. Honestly, that part doesn’t bother me much as the attitude and the lack of manners. The ladies that used to work there were super sweet and kind, always making sure you were acknowledged even during rush hour. The new lady even looked at me with disdain moving her head as if I was offended. With that kind of customer service I won’t be able to get my salads there anymore. Elsa”

“Came to this un-huge and wonderful neighborhood gem of a restaurant serving Chinese cuisine on a Sunday early evening as a party of three. We were seated right away and greeted by none other than Peter, the owner/proprietor and namesake of the restaurant. Ordered three dishes, which came out in about ten minutes. The sesame chicken is REALLY great, especially if you like a slightly caramelized sauce on the tender chicken pieces. Singapore noodles are very flavorfully prepared, and the simple, yet very tasty green beans were delicious too. There are only a handful of tables and seats, but that just adds to the charm of this restaurant. No MSG used in the food, if you care about that kind of thing. Very very highly recommended!”

“I had been eyeing this place on many visits, this was our first time to eat here. Sadly, it was just ok. I had the sesame chicken, it was really sweet but not very flavorful. My hubs had a beef dish that he liked, I had a bite and it did have a bit more seasoning to it. The egg rolls were nice and crispy. The staff was delightful. We certainly won’t rule it out and will give it another try in the future. 🥡”

“this has been my go-to place for a while, with good food and super friendly staff, but on my most recent visit, there was an older (presumably white) man at the front who was not the vibe. he was demanding of the kitchen staff, and also just very cold to me and seemed unaware of his surroundings. hope they find someone to replace him because everything else about this place is great”

“I so wanted to love this place since I just moved into the neighborhood. I’ve been eating General Tso Chicken or Tofu for 25 years and this wasn’t it. It supposed to be the color of Bordeaux, a burgundy color, not yellow#5 and red #6. It also says online that it’s $8.99 for the combo n $1.69 for the egg rolls but it was $10.99 and $2.10. As u can see in the pic, I’m very confused on what part of the chicken I’m being served, the neck? And where did the shrimp come from? And for all you people who’s reviews I read, all the ones at the top, curse you! This is NOT NY style food, in fact, please tell me when you lived in the city, last ate there? I guarantee none of them even lived there before. The food was terrible, I’m sorry. “Best egg rolls I’ve ever eaten”, why? Where all have you eaten them? There was nothing special about the egg rolls. I don’t think I’ll be back. Fool me once….”

“Pork egg rolls were great. Dumplings were dry and the dipping sauce was way way too spicy. Honestly....children would bawl if they tried this dipping sauce. Why?! Chicken sesame contained quality ingredients but the dish was much too spicy. I've never had sesame chicken that was too peppery hot. I cannot enjoy food like that and I'm not a wimp to spicy food. The chicken lo mein was flavorful and the ingredients were also quality but the entire dish was just dry.”

“If you want some hot, fresh, delicious Chinese food in Beloit this is your place. I don’t eat sushi due to allergies so I can’t review that. The hot food is always hot and always taste fresh. Beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, chicken lo mein and boneless spare ribs are my family’s favorite and they taste delicious every single time. The food is juicy, flavorful and fresh. The portions are very gracious, even with their $6 lunches. Customer service varies but has never been bad, some are just extra friendly and a few just want your order and that’s it, which is fair. Try this place out for yourself, I definitely recommend it.”
