“Couldn't go inside 💠 the church as it was closed on my arrival but it looked fantastic from outside. Very Nicely crafted exterior. They have Sunday services. Present in busy area so parking can be an issue. Church is walkable from major places like port authority bus terminal and times square. Added a video for quick view. Thanks 🙏👍”

Shrine And Parish Church Of The Holy Innocents
4.8
( 8 reviews )

128 W 37th St, New York, NY 10018, United States

“We didn't know that this beautiful and traditional Catholic Church existed in the midst of the busy city. Walked in to a Latin mass, just solemn. Confession and exposition of Blessed Sacrament were present. It was really hot inside the church, but it isn't about being comfortable while Christ is giving an ultimate sacrifice. Definitely a very traditional church, praying all churches are like it.”

The Abyssinian Baptist Church

“Rude as can be on Christmas Eve. Stay warm in your church. Don't be surprised by certain behaviors...”

St. Jean Baptiste Church

( 10 reviews )
Closed until 11:00 AM

184 E 76th St, New York, NY 10021, United States

“Truly spectacular RC church with some of the most awe inspiring architecture you will ever see. The exterior is traditional yet grand and stately with the two towers and massive dome on top. You just can't miss it from the street. The interior is simply amazing thanks to the beautiful stained glass and prominent arches throughout. Some of the glass is actually from France! The ceiling is a phenomenal work of art with so many intricate details and symmetry all working together to create this splendid architectural masterpiece. Everything flows perfectly making this church one of the greatest in NYC. There is no better place to spend time in God's presence. I highly recommend stopping in if you are passing through the area as you will surely be amazed!”

St Agnes Church
4.8
( 8 reviews )

143 E 43rd St, New York, NY 10017, United States

“I truly enjoyed the beauty of this Church. I went to Mass upon returning home from a trip. I do not live in the area. Mass was beautiful; the music and service was a wonderful. It was a delight to hear many parts the service shared in both English and Latin. The homily was well done; emphasizing key points in all 3 readings and inspirational applications we all could apply to our lives. I would highly recommend this parish to all.”

First Corinthian Baptist Church
4.3
( 8 reviews )

1912 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd, New York, NY 10026, United States

“A great Church, with great music, good preaching and great people. The worship style is quite contemporary, informal and easy to follow. You can follow the worship and see lyrics to the songs on two big screens beside the stage. There are two worships every Sunday, at 08.00 and 10.45 and always packed. Be early and expect to wait in line for quite sone time.”

“Stopped by today to say prayer..light candle..Church was noisy as Christening seemed to be starting..next thing elderly gent start waving hands furiously..down middle of aisle he comes..says u have to leave..I inquired why..he says u have a coffee..I said I do..but u can see its sealed..He got in huff..so he stands next to me while I saying a decade of Rosary..which tough with all noise..upon finishing my prayers I got up to light a candle..big notice up..$2..normally I would offer $5..the elderly gent..George is again behind my back..I light my candle..say my prayer..in meantime notice couple come up light candle and walk off..no donation..so I liging ht my candle..after donating $2..say my prayer..turn and leave..George the minder watching every move..as I leave I tell George..for the record..I was saying a prayer to mo my brother..he committed suicide..in part due to serial abuse by member of clergy.. I have been in many many churches around globe..never saw the likes of George's antics..no wonder the Catholic Church is losing follower s..Good man George..keep up great work..maybe next time you could ask gathered crowd to keep tone little lower..hard to find solace with so much noise..once I stepped back onto street it was so much quieter”
