“Madge aka The Dancing Queen persuaded me to visit this cinema to watch a recording of an Andre Rieu concert from July 2023 in Maastricht. The Savoy is one of the few remaining suburban cinemas. Lovingly maintained and well worth using rather than the soulless multiplex cinemas. We shared one of the comfy two seater sofas at the back of the auditorium. Great experience and great concert. Bottles of Pinot Grigio £15; served in an ice bucket.”

“Just tried out this cinema to watch Saw X and we were blown away by this little gem. Lovely staff, a bar that serves hot, soft or alcoholic drinks. Popcorn and nachos. But the cinema itself is like going back in time, with fabulous decor, & comfy reclining seat. Highly recommend. Would like to try the restaurant upstairs next as the menu looks fantastic.”

“We came here over the festive period to watch Wonka and did enjoy the experience, although did spend quite a bit. It's fun to get cozy on the sofas, although the little tables are a little small so you do have to do a bit of a balancing act with things you buy (at least we did). The food and drink is what you'd expect to pay at the cinema, and it is that bit different the choice of what you can get ordered to your seat (you order at the bar and they bring it to you). I wish they did a proper pick and mix though, the little pre made sweet carton doesn't have the cinema feel to it like pick and mix does! I saw a review saying about the length of adverts at the start, and I have to agree it's over the top the length of time you wait for the film to start. I'm guessing they may do this to try and get people to finish eating so there is less disturbance in the film? Still, we didn't get hot food, so we found it a bit annoying having to wait through all the ads. Overall, it's a fun experience, which you do pay a premium for. I'm not sure I'd be going regularly, but as a treat, and as something different, I do recommend it.”

“Twice I’ve been to this venue and I’m very impressed. Both occasions I’ve visited on a Sunday evening which has worked out perfect. The multi-storey car park is spacious and importantly is free and just across the road. The venue is ultra modern and very clean. The seating is comfortable but for me after a couple of hours for a 3 hour film I am shuffling a lot. The screen size is ample and the sound quality is top notch. The pricing is fair for the screen however, this can’t be said for drinks and snacks. I’m just glad I dinky have to fork out for a family of 4&5, ouch! Overall, a good cinema well worth going to.”

“1st time attending ARC cinema and Silver Screenings at Beeston. £5 each , 1pm every Thursday, a hot drink and biscuit. The seats were brilliant (3hour+film). Cinema was immaculately clean. But most importantly THE STAFF WERE AMAZING. Nothing was too much trouble.Thank you, you made our visit”

“I've had some great times in Porthcawl Pavilion. From raves up on Saturday night's in my teens to Christmas Pantomime with our children then our grandchildren. Now it's mainly tribute bands , our last visit for Marti Pellow which was superb. Great cafe bar for a catch up with friends and when the sun shines sit outside and people watch on the Prom. Love Porthcawl.”

“Love this place usually, but went in with my wife and daughters Saturday (checked girls' ages for suitability), at 17:30 - first people in, and took a table with some drinks waiting for the close up magician ("Dapper") to start his shift at 18:00, only for him to totally avoid eye contact with our party, work the tables around us, and ignore us completely. He knew we were there first, as it was just he and us in the bar for 25 minutes, and clearly bringing young people in is BECAUSE they want to see the wonder of the magic. We all left pretty annoyed and disappointed. Won't be hurrying back 🤷🧙‍♂️”

Run by volunteers with profits going to a charity in South Africa, the cosy, local Cinema is welcoming and warm with a brilliant bar. Don't tell too many people ....
