“the best seats (and obviously the most popular) are completely torn to shreds and look disgusting; i felt gross sitting in them. this is one of the least handicap-accessible places i’ve been to. no parking spaces, a long ramp on the side is the only access (which is too much walking for someone with a cane), no automatic doors. my grandma fell on the steps as we were leaving and i feel absolutely awful about it. won’t be bringing her back until you fix your parking lot, your front steps, your doors, and your seats.”

“I've been here a couple times and it's a top notch movie theater experience. They have a sizeable menu to choose from in addition to the usual popcorn and soft drinks. The chairs recline and they have a massage feature which is very nice. Also, if you choose to order food you can eat it before the movie in the dining area or have it delivered during the movie.”

“I really love this theater. I've been here several times within the past 5 months and each time it is exquisite. There's never an issue with a line in the ladies restroom because there are so many stalls that the line moves fast, which I definitely cannot say about other movie theaters. The staff are kind and it is always clean in the theaters. Snacks are decently priced as well and they have a variety to choose from!”

“Go-Karts: good track, we had fun on it. Bumper boats: great. Mini golf: more frustrating than fun. Several spot where balls were supposed to travel through pipes, our balls got stuck. The staff helped replace lost balls. Swan boats: not for those who are larger. Zip line was fun. Coaster: kids enjoyed it. One hampster wheel cart was broken the whole day we were there. Dune drop: enjoyed it. Arcade: disappointing that the only games with any ticket payout was the high-risk gambling games. Most games were $1.00/play. Plan to spend a lot of money per person to enjoy it. We went early to beat the massive crowds, and had a lot of fun with no waiting and got to have it almost to ourselves. The staff was superb- kind, friendly, and very helpful.”

You'll find a welcoming owner and hostesses, bartenders and staff. There was a cool setup table for a local non-profit type of mental health awareness group even! Nothing beats the power of music and community.”

Ever since I moved back in the 80's after the younger owners bought it and split it into a multiplex, they have done a Great job keeping it a float and providing Cheboygan county with a Movie theater for Entertainment for Everybody. It's sad that the community really doesn't support it better by going and seeing movies more often. I applaud the people operating it for all their efforts, and I Appreciate them being there!!!”

“Took our kids for a free showing of Harry Potter. The theater was comfortable and relatively clean. They took a while to dim the lights and had to restart the movie after the first few min as they accidentally played the director's commentary version. Concessions were pretty basic - $8 for a soda, $5+ for candy, but in our case the movie was free...you can buy beer but they don't post the price anywhere I could see.”

“I must preface this by saying I'm sure others must've had a less creepy experience, and overall it's probably a decent enough place to see a movie, but my wife and I felt we were actually in a horror movie. Other than one person working the concession stand, two in the guest services area, and one more sweeping off to the side, we were the only ones there. We saw no other patrons the entire time. The hallway was dark and silent. We didn't have to worry about bothering people who were also seeing a movie, because there weren't any. After the movie, we each used the bathroom. She told me the lights kept flickering in hers. In mine, there was the sound of grinding pipes the whole time, and once I left, I heard a big crash inside. Again, no one else was in there. All in all, a very creepy Overlook Hotel vibe, but I'm sure that's not a common experience. Although I wouldn't be surprised to discover it had actually closed 20 years ago after a horrible accident. Also, when I saw other reviewers mentioning high concessions prices, my first thought was "movie theaters always overcharge." Then I went there. Yes, these prices seemed higher than most other theaters.”

“The seats are ready decent and the popcorn was awesome! They have cup holders, but they didn't work well with the large beverage cups. We were in one of the smaller theaters, which made it easy to find friends who unexpectedly were there at the same time to see the same movie. I'm thrilled we were able to see The Chosen there.”
