1966 Morganton Blvd SW, Lenoir, NC 28645, United States

“We went to see BARBIE. The theater is so nice with clean reclining chairs. The theater was nice and clean. The temperature was set perfect. It wasn't cold like the Morganton theater. The Tuesday deal for $5 each is a good deal to take the grandchildren, and we purchased the annual popcorn bucket. It is $26, and you can bring it back each time to refill it for only $5. What a great deal! So worth the investment, they even gave us extra bags to share the bucket. The sound system was great also. It wasn't too loud. We went to the 4 o'clock show and it wasn't crowded at all. We can't wait to go back next Tuesday to see The Disney Haunted Mansion with my annual popcorn bucket. The three of us were able to get tickets for under $20 & and the concession stand was $6 each for regular (large cups) and only 50 cents more for the largest soda plus my $26 annual popcorn bucket. The next visit will only be $5 for my refill of the popcorn bucket and $6 for soda. I only wish that I had taken a small pillow to place behind my back as I am a little bit short for the seats. The concession stand had plenty of employees to keep the lines moving quickly. I reserved our seats in advance online, so it was we were able to scan the QR code at the concession stand and move right in avoiding the wait. Can't beat that at other theaters.”

“We attended the last show of the season. The acting is not the best you will ever see but it was a great show over all. It was like watching an old western movie. The story was awesome and gave you a true appreciation for the area and its people. I would recommend making this a stop!”

Grail Moviehouse

17 Foundy St Ste 10, Asheville, NC 28801, United States

“Was recommended by one of our SC crew members as the theater had shown his film there. Located in an area that resembles a WWII rehabilitated bombed out target. The theater has a DIY look about it and that is entrepreneurship at its best. Good screen and audio. The most comfortable seats, sofas, are too close to the screen. The regular seats are fine. Very friendly staff. The ticket price is higher than chain theaters, but it’s supporting a small business showing hard to find movies and also is community involved.”

Bruin Theater

2500 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560, United States

“Always enjoy going to Bruin Theater with family or friends. The popcorn is good, and prices are average for movies and concessions these days. The theater has reclining seats and is really comfortable. I recommend taking a coat or blanket. The theater can get cold in winter or summer.”

Amc Classic Shelby 10

“I was in town only for the weekend and it was my first time visiting this theater. It was ‘ok’ overall. The service at the concession was a bit slow and not necessarily the friendliest. Also, the concessions area seemed a bit disorganized and dirty. But it didn’t help that some patrons also didn’t care about dropping things/trash on the floor and leaving it there. The screening room was your typical for most places. Chairs we’re not the most comfortable, but they weren’t bad either. Overall, i good place to watch a movie with the family.”

“Great concept, horrible execution. Drinks and food are way over priced. This is something I could definitely get over if the service wasn't so horrible. Bartender barely spoke and she had an attitude when she did. There was no one else at the bar... Or in the restaurant part. Very small portion of Fried pickles which came without any sauce like the description said. The person who brought it acted like it was an inconvenience for them to go get any sauce. Don't go there expecting anything friendly. On a positive note, the atmosphere is great. The dining and bar area is pretty. There are multiple attractions here. I don't think the positives outweigh the terrible attitudes of the staff. I'd love to come back if it ever got new management and staff. 🤷 Overall disappointing. Can't reccomend.”

The Lumina Theater

“My favorite local cinema. I love their kids combo: drinks, popcorn, gummies for around $6. And the Tuesday deals are amazing. It’s always clean and well run. We will keep coming back! Lots of great places to eat right here too,”

“Saw a movie here for the visit to this theater. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restroom was very clean. The popcorn was very good. The seats aren’t reclining but still very comfortable. I have read disparaging reviews but totally disagree! Just because a building may be older doesn’t make it bad. I will definitely go there again!”

Smoky Mountain Cinema

235 Waynesville Plaza, Waynesville, NC 28786, United States

“It's a small town theater but nice and clean. It needs a little work with some missing ceiling tiles and such, but overall, its a nice experience everytime we go. You can tell someone has been working to fix it up. The popcorn is always good and they have a good selection of candy, drinks, etc.”

605 E Bluemont Rd, Mt Airy, NC 27030, United States

“My first experience with this theater was for my child's birthday party and it was a blast! The staff were helpful and friendly in spite if it being an extremely busy day (on account of the Mario movie opening). I was also impressed with the value offered when reserving their birthday party room. Place settings, table cloths, drinks and popcorn and ten child movie tickets were all provided in the low price! Everything was clean (bathrooms included) and the sound and projection in the auditorium were on par with what you'd find in Winston-Salem. Compared to some in W-S, it was better (looking at you, The Grand). I was genuinely impressed and had a great experience overall. My family will be returning as often as we can!”

“A couple weeks back I brought my two sons to see the movie Five Nights at Freddy. We decided to go to this theater for the first time. We arrived at the theater the same time the movie was to start. Parking was easy to find and I found the employees in the theater to be friendly. They were fast. We were able to get our pre-purchased tickets scanned, purchase two large buckets of popcorn, two smoothies and a large drink in a matter of minutes. I wasn't expecting the theater to be anything compared to larger cities, but the leg space definitely made things uncomfortable for me. It certainly is not designed for taller people. We went to an afternoon showing of the movie. I expected to see the normal 5 to 8 movie previews and trailers to be shown before the movie. That amount is pretty customary in my years and years of going to the theater. Maybe a couple more for afternoon movies. What I did not expect was to sit there for endless preview after preview. Between the cramp seating and the endless previews I was about to lose by my mind. The popcorn was basically finished before the beginning credits rolled for this film. I had never witnessed anything like. We sat there through 50 minutes of previews!! Ultimately, the boys like the movie. I can't say it was my worst movie experience ever and I don't know if that's normal for this theater's afternoon movies. Regardless, I'd rather venture elsewhere.”

Hollywood Ink Tattoos

“This place was great! There was good energy, sound artists, and the work came out fantastic. I tend to faint during tattoos due to a vasovagal syncope, a nervous system issue, and my artist, Alana, was on it! She brought out three big bags of Halloween candy and wasn't phased at all. I wound up being able to sit through and not have the fainting reaction as she was gentle, not heavy-handed, but not light enough for me to worry if the ink would stay in 🤣 I told her if I'm ever in or near Charlotte, North Carolina, that I'd be stopping by again. 🥰 Tyrone was also working there and did some work on my mom, and I liked her piece, too! The pricing was incredibly reasonable; therefore, bigger tip 😜 *tip your artists' guys! Equipment, and material aren't cheap, and the tattoo industry is a tough crowd. They deserve a lil extra gratitude*”

“AC is BROKEN and was told it’s been broken for 2 months. If you enjoy theaters that are hot with no air flow, perfect place to come for a cheap movie. Movies also don’t start on time. Bought tickets for a 7:15pm movie, and the theatre was pitch black with nothing on screen until 7:25 when previews finally started.”

Studio Movie Grill

5336 Docia Crossing Rd, Charlotte, NC 28269, United States

“Great experience. Staff is wonderful, especially Andre at the bar. Very cool concept, no concession stands but has full bar and restaurant with seating where you check in. Order all food from a big menu any time in theater up until last 15 minutes. Just a heads up, they pre-auth your card when you place your first order and even after the final charges clear, the initial hold does not until days after the final bill clears - so just so you know you may have extra holds on your funds until the pre-auth drops off. Otherwise, great experience. Seats are electric for footrest and has a tray. I do wish they had some kind of dim light on trays as it make it difficult to see your food in a dark theater. Brownie sundae was amazing and popcorn was decently priced compared to most. I was actually surprised at how reasonable the prices for the menu were considering the nature of the service.”
