“Sparrow is a delightful casual restaurant on St. Laurent Blvd (just north of Fairmount), in an area with a number of other eateries. The ambiance is dark wood interiors with a bohemian flair with a super size street facing window...so that the restaurant is both dark and light at the same time. Seating is mostly at tables but there are a few bench side options as well as the window abutting coach (low to the ground but a very chill place to chat and snack). We had a weekend brunch...enjoying the scones and jam (surprisingly very good, the scone was served warm with a nice helping of devon cream...but the strawberry jam could have been better), the Fried Egg with Sage (very good), the Belgian Waffle (excellent although the portion was a touch too small) and a Green Salad (very good but simple). We also enjoyed some nice coffees and smoothies. Service was very attentive and friendly adding to the experience. On the late Saturday morning we visited, there were a large number of young family with kids just finishing up, so this appears to be a great place for an early breakfast for the young ones. Enjoy!”

“Went 3 days ago with my boyfriend and his best friend and we had such a good time. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had onion rings, the classic poutine and nachos, the three excellent quality. For drinks we ordered some beers, an aperol and hot shots (these were really good). Overall we had a great time and I totally recommend this place 😊”

“Great restaurant for tacos and drinks. Just love the decor. Very colourful and lively. The music is great. Lots of bachata. The tacos were delicious, a bit crispy on the edges. Many choices of drinks. Came here for lunch and really enjoyed the whole experience. Service was fast and efficient. Lots of parking. We came on a rainy day and they had the terrace covered so we could sit “outside”.”

“I went there for my birthday celebration with my family! We had a reservation and it was a Saturday! The place was crazy busy and we were.told to order at one go as the kitchen was behind schedule. There was also a party going on the first floor! Our food tastes good. The portions aren't big if you are a person with a nice appetite. I felt my garlic mashed potatoes had no garlic on them. The rest was well laid out as per the menu. I tried the Brie sirloin steak, fish tacos, kids burger and kids pasta. Churros for dessert and drinks (Sangria kinda drink + bourbon and ice)”

I had the burger which was good but nothing special and the onion rings with spicy dipping sauce were tasty. We went early on a Sunday so drinks were two for one - very sweet but good.”

“Rustic, authentic little pub. Staying at the Quality Inn next door on a layover, so limited options for food. This pub had some great pub deep fried options. Bartender/waitress was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was good for deep fried options. She could tell I was exhausted and wanted a beer and food to go. So I had my beer asap and the food was done just as I finished my beer. The "Grub Bag" had a nice mix of all the options offered for food. Thanks for the amazing service.”

“Very intimate space with great cocktails. We went on a rainy Thursday night after work and it wasn’t busy. Didn’t encounter any problem getting in. Extra points for the offered snacks (olives, nuts and chips) to accompany the alcoholic beverages since i believe there’s no food.”
