“This is a very cool speakeasy bar in a great neighbourhood in Amsterdam. The cocktails are not cheap, at 14€ a pop, but they are well worth it! Both of our cocktails were boozy and extremely tasty. The Mai Thai style one, served in a cute monkey cup, was absolutely delicious and seemed to never end. Personally, I loved the old fashioned style cocktail, which features smoked peat, and is served to you in a wooden box which, upon opening, smoke billows out. It embues the cocktail with a beautiful smokiness. I’m just sad I didn’t know it was coming, otherwise I would have got it in video.”

The cocktails were really special and unique. If I had to say one area they could improve, it would have been nice if they had some nibbles. Some peanuts or pretzels or something. However, it was overall an extremely pleasant experience and I will surely return.”

“I can recommend the place because of atmosphere and style. They nailed it! I liked the menu, but more the way it’s decorated than the content. All cocktails there are pretentious, with fancy descriptions and ingredients. But I wouldn’t call them special taste-wise. They are good. Just good. Nothing more. You can also order classic cocktails which are not in the menu. Espresso martini was delicious, better than other cocktails from the fancy menu that tried.”

They have a nice selection of lunch options and a variety of tapas to choose from. Staff was friendly, although we had to wait a bit. It was quite busy, with people meeting for talks and drinks (and games) and others like us to have a relaxed lunch. An easy recommendation.”

I found their cocktail menu design so smart that you don't gamble on taste of the cocktail that you're gonna order. You know what you get in terms of sweetness, sourness etc. Despite having such small space inside, tables and bathrooms are exceptionally clean.”
